Does anyone space the coil/ICM away from the head?
The Camaro is like this, done by the previous owner.

Ain't the problem anyway. Looks like time for a new opti. Either a used one I already have or a $60 Accel cap from Summit.

I saw a pic of the ICM relocated up front on the rad support.
Think it needs heat grease tho.
If you space it it still should throw heat I'd think

The accel cap is a nice piece. I have used it. And like the msd unit, it uses brass instead of aluminum.

Some of the F-body folks do this. They put the coil/ICM 1 nut away from the head. The idea being that no need to pick up heat from the head and it sure ain't acting as a heat sink. Seems to be working fine so I'll just leave it the way it is.
