This is for the '88 Caprice that needed the family of the previous owner, to get the title notarized, because the titled owner passed away late last year before this paperwork situation could get straightened out.
So, ok. The title is ready and notarized, HOWEVER, the date on the notary and sellers signature is May 20. It being July now, my questions are this:
Will I have an issue with the seller and buyer signature dates being months off from each other
And
What type of tax penalty should I expect since my title transaction will be a considerable amount of weeks past the 10 day law.
Also, should I just put the date I actually go to the insurance agent, or match the date of the seller? Obviously the car is from out of state and it was shipped. Does the RMV care about that? The price of what I paid on the bill of sale is $400.
Thanks!
