| I'm thinking we pay a yearly membership which would go towards sponsoring events and awarding trophies and such. That way we can make things like the racing events a little more organized and efficient. In exchange we get a cool limited edition club t-shirt as well as a quarterly newsletter featuring what the guys did over the quarter with pics and stuff. Club members would also get assigned a number and put into a registry so that we can communicate better about upcoming events and such. Just a thought that I figured I'd throw out there. | |

| IMHO, you start charging dues, and assigning responsibilities and the fun goes out the window. I started this whole idea years ago by wanting to keep it loose and easy going. Just a bunch of car guys (and gals) hanging out, shootin' the shit, and racings and wrenching. You start adding money to that equation and the fun ends pretty quick... | |

| No way. Keep it simple guys. Leave money out of it. We can have a fun car club by not doing what you suggested. You add money and hierarchy you just add problems.

| okey dokey. Just an idea. I know the issca had some issue with their setup but it seemed like people were still interested in joining. Plus it seems like paying for food for events and paying for those racing trophies and such ends up costing people money out of pocket that they may not be able to afford. I figure this way the club dues could go towards covering these costs. But I deffinetly understand the problem with things becoming a hierarchy and ruining the fun. | |
