t56 up date

heres whats going on. july 10th. mark ross and my self will be taking my buick to bills fishas. place of employment. and i cant thank him enought and his (boss) friend for doing this. im like larry cote. this has been driving me crazy. got my line lock bracket from matt (buffman)on issf. this is ready to go. now my auto tranny and the lines, and the cross member are all sold to one of my friends. ill keep you all posted.

No; we are doing everything for Ron - T56 Included.

lol. thats what it looks like. huh? i dont know what happened to the rest of the up dates. that was suppose to be saying along with the rest of my install items. im already to go. which i am. i had a dream awhile back i was out riding around with it all installed. and having a ball. ps i bet i put it in the wrong post. im good at that.

yes it was. about my line lock. my fault? i guess.

well fri the 10 th. mr ross and i started on our trek to the state of mass. we left at 1.30 pm. maine pike not bad until there was a bad accident in the north bound lane. and one state trooper decided its a good idea to half block off the south bound lane in his patrol car. big bottle neck. after that good going till 128. stop and go traffic. well we get to bills place of employment at 4pm. not bad 123 miles 2 1/2 hrs. unloaded the lincoln. talked to bill and his friend for awhile. mark decided if we was to have some thing to eat by then the traffic would die down a bit. good call. so bill gave use directions to the out back . well we didnt find it so we pulled into applebys. where the waiter spilled dipping sauce on marks shirt. when i was paying the bill i heard mark telling the people what happened. i think he was trying to get another shirt. maybe not. any ways coming home we just talked and i had a good time. got home about 8.30. talked some more in parking lot. that was it. i punched in the mpg on the lincoln computer 22.5 not bad. the best thing coming home is mark drove because im getting sick of driving and he didnt want to be in the passenger seat. so it worked out good.

This thing is just about wrapped up. Everything under the hood is finished. Pedals are mounted and attached. All we have left is to cut the shifter hole in the floor and lift the tranny in to place.

Should be rowing 6 by noon tomorrow!

Glad you guys are getting there! Sorry I couldn't come by last weekend. But it's a pretty easy install, isn't it?

We ran into a minor snafu today.

Slave cylinder blew out.

Tested the clutch once - action was perfect

Pressed the clutch pedal down to the floor again - blown o-ring in the slave.

Hopefully we can replace just the slave cylinder and not the shebang with Master cylinder and all.

Wiring was sorta a PITA, but we think it's all set.

It should be all set tomorrow barring any more setbacks.

Ron & Mark, if your reading this - keep your schedules open for tomorrow. We're gonna do our damdest to have it for ya.

I will be there with camera.

Ron sent me an email and asked me to go down with him to pick up the roady...Can't wait to see this thing in action! Although I don't think Ron is going to drive it "spiritedly" ...or will he?

I mentioned it to him as it looked to be too low in the car. I went back and looked in the manual I have when I got home. You are correct Ron. The u faces down.

bill i dont know. but check with the man. bill c. hed know. i think the reason the cylinder blew out is it was stretced to far. you will sort it out. and i wont hold it against you. or warren. you so far have kept me in touch with every thing. if this was e-bay id give you and your crew 100% positive feed back. like i said just do it right.

I don't know if it matters if the U is U-shaped... I think mine sits more level installed the proper way...

And it's weird that the slave blew out. I'd take it back and swap the whole assembly with a new one. That should not have happened.

bill said it is done. they will road test it tues. and if its good to go. ill take the cheap way out. and go by grey hound. i know mark wont get his steak dinner. but ive got to guys $33.00 portland to newton mass. leaves at 10 am arrives 1.20 pm. ill make it up to mark. how about taco bell. steak and cheese? ive just spent to much money. and my profit sharing wasnt that much. matter of fact the worst its ever been. ive got to start pinching pennys.

Holy Hell is this car sweet. A total head turner. People look up the street expecting a corvette or something rowing through the gears. All of a sudden they see a frikken roadmaster rippin down the road.
