Pete Great question Pete. Just remembered every Tuesday evening, Rt. 4 Auburn, ME. Roy's All steak burgers/ driving range/mini golf http://roysgolf.com/cruise-night Always a good turnout. I have never "showed" my car there but it is a great idea! That is the only one that is ongoing through the Summer. I'm game if someone will commit from BadASS. | |

Came across a few interesting ones to think about this summer:
July 27 :: Western Maine Street Rods Cruise-In / 1st Annual Motor Madness
Farmington Fairgrounds in FARMINGTON. Reg. @ 7am; Gate @ 8am
Car/Motorcycle show, truck pull, tractor pull, car burnout, car corral, vendors, food, music, & FUN (including the Strawberry Festival!)
$10 for all events
OR
July 28 :: 17th Annual Bikini Car Wash and Show & Shine
Sanford Sound, 1458 Main Street in SANFORD
Umm ya.. thats a, Honey going out for a cruise, see you when I get back.. errand, trip... vanish for a few hours type of ride!

August 3 :: 34th Annual Andover Olde Home Days Car Show
Downtown ANDOVER; Akers Field. Sponsored by Western Maine Street Rods • 9am to 2pm
25 classes, food, give-aways, 50/50, trophies, music, t-shirts for sale. Next to the Fireman’s Chicken BBQ and parade and large flea market
Some cool events to be sure. I will keep ya posted, shall I get the SS up for a weekend not out of the question at all .. the week trip, most likely in the Suburban..

Hebron grants permit for Redneck games

HEBRON, Maine (AP) — The Redneck games are returning to Hebron for the third successive year.
The town's Board of Selectmen granted a mass gathering permit for organizer Harold Brooks last week.
The games drew about 2,700 people to Brooks' farm last year, who watched and competed in events including bobbing for pigs' feet, toilet-seat horseshoes, lawn mower races, and a pie eating contest.
The Sun Journal (http://bit.ly/12BmFAd ) reports that about the same number of people are expected this year.
A demolition derby, live music and a beer tent are also planned for this year's event scheduled for August 1 through 4. Some proceeds will go to charity.
The games were originally dubbed the Redneck Olympics, but are now officially known as the Redneck Blank after the real Olympics threatened to sue.

| It's an official holiday in Maine. They come from all corners of Maine to attend. It's one of those family events.
I just looked at there official site, looks like there are 15 members from a BADASS car club registered. What's up with that? | |
