| I'm always envious of any job that actually gets done in a short period of time. Seems like I take forever with everything damn thing I do (partially due to lack of time, but also OCD tendencies.. ) Hope it survived the night & looks as good in person as the pics. Starting a pool on how many weeks before its sold....I say 5 (5/20/13) (Still dont get the red wheel thing.... ) | |

| But it gets the best mileage out of everything I've got right now...? Lol Can I get in on the pool? And it does look good in the daylight. The paint is smoothing out pretty good as it dries. Most of the pine needles came off, too. But there's a few that arr permanent. Doh. | |

| Oh god! I don't know which one I like more! On the one hand, a toasted Marshmallow is a sight to behold. But on the other a black Fleetwood makes me feel warm and fuzzy. | |

| Thanks dude. But I can tell you, I definately like the toasted marshmallow more! So I ran into an unexpected glitch with those rims and tires. The rear sidewalls actually rubbed on the skirt handles and standoffs. So today I flattened the handles and shortened the standoffs by about 1/3". Shoukd take care of it and gain me a 1/2" of clearance or so. Will know after work when I put em back on. I'm surprised, as you usually only have to clearance the skirts for wider tires and rims. These truck wheels must have a little less backspacing. *shrug?* | |

| Looks real "club motto" !!!!
Bill a few suggestions:
1. If you have some red paint left, spray those damn wheel weights
2. Get some fine steel wool and use it on the rear bumper to get some of the rust stains off, unless of course it's adding the the rat rod look?
3. Dont post anymore pics until it gets more lower

| I know not of which car you speak. So I got the exhaust done today. Muffler delete with glasspacks in place of the resonators and chrome turndowns. Looks good! Way too quiet though. Go figure. Hope it gets a little louder when the glass "breaks in"... I wanted to be able to see them from the side. He didn't quite get them low enough for my taste, but probably saved me a ton of aggravation when I lower it. Here's a couple poor lighting, out of focus, blurry and can't-quite-see-it pics: I'll get better pics in the sunlight. I like the way it looks. The classic chrome turndown tips really look at home on it! And I know I said no more pics til it's lowered, but the back isn't embarrassingly low, so these get a pass. | |

| You're right, it looks awesome on yours. And if mine were nice, I may spend the time and do it, but it's not. And I kinda dig the faded trim against the satin paint. I dunno. It's one of the things I'm thinking about on it. But I doubt I'll have it long enough to figure it out anyways. | |

| Got some more work done on it today. Replaced a roller in 3 of the 4 doors and now all my windows work! I also programmed my eBay sourced remote to the factory keyless and now I can lock and unlock it like a normal person. Pretty much done except for the bumper, driver's seat fix, springs, and eBay tint. | |

Yeah, I got a pair of those magic front Moog springs and a pair of used Eibach rears. Hope it's low enough. Pics of your car on those cut SS springs?

Maybe, we'll see. That was my original plan until I stubbed my toe on those Eibachs. And I'm pretty sure that the passenger rear spring is NFG. It wicked sags on that corner.

| Yup. Its not even a daily and it was too low lol. But the 5662/drop shocks/new isolates/zq8 helped the drive. Not the handling (yet) needs alignment still. But it handled friggin awesome when it was basically body in frame. | |

| So, somewhat of a repost, but I wanted to get this in this thread, too... She got more lower today!!!! I went with Moog 5662 front springs and a lightly used pair of Impala Eibachs in the rear. Swapped in a pair of Gabriel Ultra shocks up front and new sway bar bushings, too. Here's the spring comparison between the stock Caddy springs and the Magical Moogs. And the stock caddy rears and the Eibachs. I saw the height difference and was like, "EHRMEGERD! I made a HUGE mistake!" But I didn't. I so didn't. Here's the before measurements. They were taken from the floor to the bottom of the wheelwell trim in line with the center of the rims. LF 28 3/4" RF 28 1/4" RR 16 3/4" LR 17 1/4" And after, right off the lift and a short drive. Probably no settling. (It looks lower after my 50 mile ride home) LF 26 1/4" RF 26 1/2" RR 16 1/8" LR 16 1/4" Car rides awesome now! No more float! Love those Gabriel Ultras! And before, the thing leaned like a mo-fo in the smallest of corners, now it easily overdrives the tires. LOL! The car is much more pleasant to drive now, and looks just right and I couldn't be happier with the way it sits! All I have left is to install my eBay tints and replace the radiator that started leaking today. At least I have one. In storage. Somewhere. Doh! She's just about done! | |
