Not quite. The one hint I will let go, is the flange bolts to the REAR of an LSX crank....

| I'd say no to that. Thats splined for power So....maybe some kind of transmission input? EDIT: OK , I was writing before the hint Now...how the hell does that interact with the next part? Reverse torque convertor mounting?...wtf?....I'm confused _________________ Steve 96BBB 28K 3.42 Bolt-ons 95BBB 100K 3.73 383 New DD...already broke fixt the 4L60E twice 95 Black WB4 Hole...ee...grail 96 Black WB4 No holes in this 95BBB 189K 3.08 Old DD Stolen...by Matt. How does it mount to the next motor? The next motor would have the female splines portion either pressed onto the snout of the crank or flange mounted to a dampener. I am trying to determine if I need to run a dampener on the second motor, or if I can get away with just one on the primary engine. | |

| If you look closely at the piece I machined....it is actually an old shaft from an Allison Industrial transmission, with a stepped collar pressed into an LSX flexplate spacer. I had the thing keyed up in the lathe and it spins amazingly true. I am going to have the step collar tig welded around the flange to assure it wont spin. On the back side of the flange, the shaft is machined to slip into the end of the crank to center everything up. These motors are so small physically....that I actually think I can fit two of them under my hood. The car I linked the video to is cool and all, but I would like to have the motors almost ontop of each other to somewhat appear as if they were one-piece (hence my coupler design). Back in the day (60s-70s), they sused two sprockets with a double row chain to link engines inline | |

| The car belongs to a shop. Those headers look like the DIY street rod kits. They are most likely coated mild steel, and aside from time, im guessing they don't have much in them dollar wise. | |

Its all twin engine dragsters from 50s-now. Kinda hard to navigate, but very cool to look at.

Ahh...what the hell man. Give me a little credit....at least the Caprice has been back together and running three times, and may I add it still is . LOL Just an idea at the moment that I am playing with....I don't know if it will take off. However....I did finish the other side of the coupler. I still need to have it welded so I can key it up in the lathe and do a clean-up pass....but here is what Ive got... You might notice that the insert pressed into the female splines is actually the center section I machined off a truck dampener lol. I machined a press fit step into the female splines to lock the center hub, then I reversed it in the lathe to make certain it spun true. Here are a few pics of the unit sliding together, then assembled to give you an idea of what it looks like as far as overall length. There is still some room to shorten the assembly if need be....but I feel this is a really strong compact setup.

I wish I had some idea on how to program CNC/CAD stuff. Unfortunately, I am still in the dark ages with a 3 jaw lathe and a worn out Bridgeport LOL. However, one of the machinists I use recently picked up a scanning/ water jet machine. Amazing what those things can do and how much they simplify plotting. I gave him an LSX valley cover and had him scan and cut it from 1/4" Best 30.00 I ever spent LOL
