| Has anybody in the club ever gone to the public auto auctions in NH? Like Interstate or something like that? I've never been to an auction and would love to go, maybe to buy, but more to just see how it works and how the prices are. Would it be worth it to take a day off from work and go up there? Thanks for any insight, -Paul | |

| I used to go to interstate in Salem every Wednesday, now every time I go there is nothing worth looking at. The auction fees are pretty high, too. Maybe check their website and see how much just so you know how much extra you're gonna pay before you bid. I wouldn't waste my time, but maybe you're looking for something that I wouldn't be. | |

| I saw all the fees, they don't seem too bad. Do you know if they sell salvage/wrecked cars up there? | |

| It is 99 percent used car guys and wholesalers trying to pawn off their shitboxes. They used to have a bunch of donated cars but I haven't seen much of that in a while. No salvage stuff. | |

| Probably be a shitload of salvage crap coming out of NY/NJ. Guy hauling 7 cars on a flatbed said the other day they were salvage cars going to an auction over east because NY/NJ couldn't handle all of them down there.
So its a buyer beware on buying any used cars now.

.... Correct ... you can go in early and look the cars over, But connections are made before anyone else gets there so dont get your hopes up. and much like Bud, I never seen anything that was worth the chase. I was looking at a lot of flip cars but the good ones had to much attention and you just know they will run it up and bail just to screw you if you do go for it. I know people who did buy and seemed to be happy with what they got. Cant hurt to look, plus theres a few dealerships close by with a mix of inventory. The drives not bad from your area , quicker to loop 125 north back to 93 north in my opinion.

Flood cars SUCK. They always look pretty, but you NEVER end up getting all the bugs worked out.

| I'm still trying to find out when all those cars in Long Island on the runway will got to auction, i really want to go. No $ but i'd still pay to just go watch for a day.
I wonder if IAA is waiting for the titles to come back "salvage, flood car" before they auction them off? They myst have to.

I wonder if IAA is waiting for the titles to come back "salvage, flood car" before they auction them off? They myst have to. They were advertising sandy cars on copart. There's a link right on their home page.

| Those Copart cars from New Jersey are coming through as Salvage/Water Damage on AutoCheck. The New York cars are not. Just a heads up for anyone buying in the near future. | |

| That SS is trashed. So sad. I'd love to have the engine brace. I would think the owner would have bought it back? I know i would have. | |

But it DOES have a bitchin' steering wheel cover! Only true badasses have those! That's crazy. The SS is still wet inside, look at the picture of the driver's footwell. I bet if you were ambitious enough and were sick of dealing with rust issues from other projects and this was clean underneath, it would be worth the trouble to build it all up after taking the interior out. You can see the silt lines on the seats and stuff. Those Corvettes actually don't look bad, I'm wondering to what extent they were actually in water?
