Not too much mod stuff, mostly maintenance.

Mech. fan converted to e-fan
Home plate, air pump delete, TB bypass
New GM water-pump, t-stat, hoses, coolant flush
New Chandler Motorsports Opti, new plugs and wires, fuel filter
New gas tank straps
Trans flush, repaired cooler lines
Replace exh manifold broken bolts, had manifolds resurfaced, Flowmaster H-pipe w/turbo's
4 new 255-60-15 BFG's
4 new Gabriel ultra's
Alignment
New GM upper control arms (boxed)
Buick rear frame brace
Rear pinion seal replaced, new diff cover, diff service (stk G80 w/2.93 gears)
New brute force u-joints, had driveshaft balanced
Swapped A/C compressor & recharged A/C
Re-flashed PCM

Already had new radiator, alternator, center-link

Tons of other little stuff, window rollers etc. Lots of time spent on the body (too much time) Complete interior swap....

It's an enlightening experience to see it in the sun. Doesn't hurt that this car has enough SEM on it for stage 3.

PS: He didnt do all that himself (garage gnomes reach the undercarriage MUCH easier)

4-9C1 door panels all cleaned up and installed




Put around 2,000 miles on it now, my only fail was an old A/C line leaking (big surprise)

Guess i'm screwed then, cause i can't reach the cranks, and my AC is nonexistant.

The new update: More overhauling continues....... 

About 4 weeks ago, driving up 93 North, cruise set a 75 mph, motor revs like I threw it in neutral. Soo I pull over, no forward in a gear, no reverse, fluid ok. Got it towed home (stoopid transmission).

Suspect I lost the front pump, will find out later (when I tear it down).

Needing a transmission, and having another '95 right next to it, I stole the trans out of my lowered L99. It's an already built Level 2, with a 2,800 stall-converter.  

I'm currently ready to put the new trans into the cop-car.

I cleaned and painted the crossmember, shift linkage, and the floor/frame areas I couldn't get with the crossmember in.

Gave the new trans a filter & gasket while I was there.

1 extra 3-4 clutch, billet 1-2 servo, shift-kit, boost valve, HD 2-4 band, modded pressure control solenoid, new shift solenoids. Has about 20k miles on it since it was done.

Brought the radiator and aux cooler to work with me today to flush em out with a few gallons of ATF, on our flush machine (def not taking a chance with any debris that could still be in there somewhere)

The car had a 16 qt flush a few thousand miles ago, whatever broke was a hard part, not clutches, inside of the trans that came out was pretty darn clean inside.

What I did with the trans coolers (which is a totally different flush machine), is only needed if there was a trans failure. Not only does it flush fluid from both directions, both it can also measure the flow through the cooler to check for resistance or blockage. Mine was fine, acceptable is 1.5 gps ,mine was 2.8 (which was a higher flow than any others I've flushed)  

If someone brought me a cooler I could flush it, dunno what they would charge. Probably 1 hr labor + amount of fluid used.

That would be for both of them, less for just a radiator cooler.

I'm the only one in the shop that has hook-ups that will fit our cars, cuz I made them.  

Flush it, or replace it, your choice

I take it out, and spray brake cleaner in it, blow it out with air and repeat until there is nothing but brake cleaner coming out. I make sure the coils are horizontal so everything comes out. I do this probably 5-8 times. I do something similar to the lines as well, except I and them so they drain down, and I spray the brake clean followed by the air. This is a great back yard clean out of the cooler and lines.

I have a couple of pair of DR's if I want to go to the track, but not practical for a DD with the accelerated wear, and rain performance
