| Guys I am in a pinch and I need help....
I went to pick up my spare rear today from the kid who originally bought my caprice off me. Come to find out, he blew up the diff and it was locked solid, but that was no big deal because I only needed the drivers side axle (or so I thought).
Long story short, I went to install the axle and found out that it was a 30 spline vs my older 9c1 rear which is 28 spline! GRRRRRR!
Anyways....do one of you have a 28 spline drivers side axle.....or I hate to do this....but a complete rear you would be willing to let go CHEAP. My budget is tapped at this point.....just looking for some help.

The wagons have 30 spline as well, and it is also my understanding they are longer. It appears that 77-87 had 28 spline, 88+ had 30 spline. So unless I can get my hands on an older axle.....whole rear will need a swap because I cant afford Spool, 35 spline, gears and new housing ends right now, UGH

| Ok....it looks like 1992-96 caprice with the 7.5 has 28 spline axles? They appear to be the same lenght as the 8.5? Anyone that have a 7.5 set of garbage laying around who could verrify? | |

| Dude if you need to borrow a shaft I can pop one out of the rear from the 84, I just need it back to roll the car around this winter so dont kill it! lol! The only thing you have to do is make sure the length is correct. I don't want it to be for nothing you know, one of us is gonna have to make that drive and it better be worth it! | |
