I Gots a skull in the wagon. You need to remove the plastic at the top of the shifter with a dremel or blow torch and then you'll see the splined end that you can slide a ahift knob over.

Do a beer tapper. lots of full size truck guys do it. Or, go the common route, and do the center console.

Seriously lol. Have you ever tried to remove the knob on a 91-96? Shit it ON there. Heating it with a propane torch softens it up so you can cut it with a razor and peel it off,
