| So. This is my first real Arlington built car in 16 months, and my first D-body in 6 years. I have my work cut out for me, but it got me home on a 50 mile trip back from picking it up. It needs a heater core, and what I believe to be either a intake manifold gasket, or a oil filter adapter. I am leaning toward intake, as most of the mess seems to be on the pass side. The drivers seat does not move. But it is nothing a set of bonnies won't fix . Some of the cladding is pulling away, but all is there, and in nice shape, and the headlamp is broke. Plans include SS springs and bars, with firmer shocks, wheels, and the usual mods. Would not be a thread worth a damn without pics. First mod

I have no Clue Tom., The skirts come off easy enough. There is a handle on the back side. reach up, and push handle toward you, and slightly up, once it comes free from it's cradle, pull it down. I think that is how it works. , Then pull the skirt gently toward you, and down. |

Never. I am going sporty, not classic. FAIL! Then you can get FAILWUD plates for it. lol Make it go "sporty" but LOOK classy. Turn those RWL's into wide whites, stat! And I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get the side panels off without breaking the clips. And GM doesn't make the clips anymore. Go figure. | |

| If you don't already have a lead on a set, 8bud has a low mileage set of SS springs. | |

Thanks Brian. I will have to pm Bill, and see what he wants for them. Hopefully they are not early 94s. |

| All the rocker trim can be removed easily: Skirts: pull down handles pull outward Rear quarters: remove bottom screw(s) lift up and tilt out Doors: remove 4 screws from inside of door where it touches the jamb, lift up and tilt out top Door side fender: remove screw(s) from fender well side and lift up Bumper side fender: remove screw(s) wheel well side and there is a nut on the inside under the air dam trim, pull out straight No broken clips Make sure to grab the black clips from the side of the car, (use a punch to push the center outward and remove the white square with the black clip, | |

| Some more pics. Have intake gaskets, performance intake, heater core, headlamp, and 6000 hids coming. Hopefully start working on in next week. Removed all the grandpa decals on the windows last night. To cold to do anything else. Brrrrr! |

| First repair today. I had to replace the heater core. Too cold. All better. Now I have to get a RM HVAC control. I forgot just how limited the caddy ones are. I want to look like this Yet be able to do the "Crovo Shuffle" like this. While sitting here. |

| I replaced the heater core yesterday. I have the intake gaskets, and "Right Stuff" RTV for the intake leak. I am going to try and locate a 4.3 v8 oil filter adapter to get rid of the leaky oil lines, and sandwich adapter. Replace the HVAC control with one from a Roadmaster, tuneup with new opti and water pump. |

| Just get a standard SBC oil filter adapter (free at most machine shops!) and run the big filter. Wait... Will it fit with the cats? Maybe not. Thinking back, I've only run em that way with headers. Nevermind. lol | |

| Broken headlamp replaced. (Thanks Indigo) 6000k HIDs installed. I know they are small conquests, but I am documenting everything here. I even washed it last night since we are heading to a funeral today up in Ossippee. I had forgot about moving the car to clean and tire dress the rear tires. |

| I had that problem on my skirted '74...I'd just wipe a sponge around the tire dressing half of the tire and run the sponge up behind the fender skirts by hand... | |
