| My '94 Impala sits very high in the front.
This is what I found on the left front spring tag: FTM 22076511 The RPO codes are 6TM 7TS 8HK and 9HK.
Now I can't find that part number anywhere. The big board says all SSes got part number 22077450. I can't find any threads regarding some of the early SSes sitting up very high in the front, if they are still there.
So there you have it.

| Very early 94s had the higher springs up front. Not sure why. My original 94 was #5500+, and had the lower front springs. The one I had a couple years ago was an early #392, so it had the higher springs. I am not sure where GM made the change. Bruce's 6 speed 94 was also high in the front. And yes, the number was the same. It was just a change in the height. |

| Mine was manufactured in March. I don't know what number it is.
I say GM used the wrong or different spring for some reason.

But with a RPO of TY the springs should have a TY code. I say GM used the wrong or different spring for some reason.
Your car would be an early car. Production started in late February, or early March of 94 for the WX3 Option. It might be possible that another suspension package spring was either miss labeled originaly from the supplier, or the true SS springs were not ready, so they let them go out the door with different springs since the car was ready other than the springs. Your guess is as good as mine. They maybe were 93 LTZ springs labeled with the correct SS number. |

I knew it was around that time. That last one I had was a March car also. |

| I found a few people with 6TM and 7TM RPO codes that have Roadmaster Wagons and OCCs.
I think Billy is right and someone at GM thought wagon springs would be close enough until the correct springs arrived. Maybe they changed their mind after seeing how high it was.
I add my actual RPO codes to the earlier posts.

| Steve, Go to page 6-C15 in the not FE1 table. 22076511 is listed a a mid range spring, a couple higher than later SSes (FTY). It looks like GM had SS FTY springs, pn22077540, back in '91. I think they changed the front springs because the early '94s were too high in the front. HK (rear SS) aren't listed unitl '94. Now I can sleep. Oh, I'm going to relace or cut them anyway.
