I would have liked to have stayed longer, but we needed to get home. But at least the bulk of the work got done.

I did manage to get everything hooked up except the exhaust. I can't find the bolts for the drivers intermediate to cat pipes and that damn passenger exhaust hanger broke again. Thanks to my brute force. I decided I was going to start it up anyways. I changed the oil, filled the coolant and she was ready to go. Only, I remember I hadn't tightened the motor mount bolts. SO, I started doing that. By the time I got done with one of them it was going on 8:30-9 and I didn't want to start it up being as loud as it wouldve been. So I put the front bumper on finger tight and put the headlights in untill tomorrow when I can tighten it up for good and get the passenger motor mount bolt tight. Then finally, start it up.

One thing at a time! Next big conversion I'd like to do is rear discs. I been driving it all day! I got the exhaust tightened up and that darn hanger welded. I also had him weld in a crossover. Sound very nice now. Tires squeel with a blip of the throttle.

Doug (Pooge) has/had a disk brake rear axle for sale cheap. Not sure if he still does... but he did like two weeks ago.

Awsome news Tim. I would send out that 4.3 pcm for programming. That way you have no down time.

Then when you get it back from programming, keep the one in there now to have it programmed for future modifications for no down time as well.

If the price is right, I may be willing to split the cost to get the rear, as you just need the brake equipment.

You need some 255/60/15s all around, but at least on the rear to hook up.

i hate to say it after that ball busting over on issf but i thought paul area 51 had a disc rear for sale, but dont remember much about it , would this be a 373 upgrade or 410 for future t56 make over

If your not in a hurray for the disc conversion I might be able to help you out with some parts.

I went to start it up this morning for work. It just cranked no start. I had to prime the fuel with the pump test lead for it to start. Pump is not priming when I turn the key. What gives?

Are all the grounds connected in the engine bay? No bad wires at the pcm connector?

Maybe the fuel pump wiring is worn out, or the pump can't keep up with the bigger engine.

I know it's only Tuesday so it's not much help, but if you need a hand figuring out any issues that've developed since the swap I can swing back over this weekend.

There is one ground that is broken, one of the three that bolts to the coil. It's stuffed between the other two, probably not grounding. Can someone confirm what those three grounds are for?

Well, I guess that pic answers THAT question.

As far as the grounds... One or two is a PCM ground, IIRC.

Yeah, he told me he butchered my harness. The NERVE!!!!!! THE NOIVE!!!!!!

If it's butchered anyway I need the connector that goes to the guage temp sensor in the passenger side head

Hey guys, I saw this post WAY LATE, but I wanted to comment on how cool it was to see all you guys go down there, I wish I had seen it earlier I might have been able to make the trek!

I'm going to do a little better about keeping my eyes on the whole board and not just the "club news" section...LOL

You moving on this rear disc install?
I'm asking mainly because Bill Harper wants to take my rear backing plates (when I R&R them) but I remembered your post. Other reason is I'm ordering stuff from him today. If you see this let me know.

Also Tim I have a pair of stock B-Body Stainless steel caliper guide pins & caliper brackets in good usable condition. All that you have to do is pick them up.

I pm'd him & he's putting this on hold for a little while.
