differance between 96 and 95 lt1??

i have a chance to pick up a 95 355 lt1 with aluminum ported heads and comp cam for a decent price. its out of a 95 camaro. what would i have to change to make it work with my 96 harness??

I believe the coil plug is different (use the coil from the '96) and you'd have to add the crank position sensor from the '96 as well. -Joe

Just use the PCM from a 94 or 95. If you can get the harness you can swap that too. Only wires that lead into the car I believe are the gauge wires, obd,and vss...all others basically go to the PCM. I have researched this for putting a 96 lt1 into my 86 truck. (not happening yet) but I have extensive research on the swaps. 96 has different knock sensors I believe also. It's easier to put a 95 motor into a 96/97 then it is to Put a 96/97 into a 95 and lower. You might get away with just not hooking up the CPS plug and just swap in a 94/95 PCM.
