I have noticed the use of foul language is slowly becoming more common. Up until now I have let it slide because this forum is laid back and there are no trouble makers. But I have to put a halt to it.

I would ask all members to please watch the language. There could be wives and children veiwing our forum, and it just does not look nice.

I can open a cabaret section if you guys feel the need, and have it limited to those who choose to use it only.

Thank you for your time and understanding.
Bill

I think that only members should be able to view the forum. It's not like this is a public place. It is OUR forum and we are all adults here. But OK. Maybe put some swear filters in effect? scratch

If members were the only ones who could veiw the forum, how would we get new membership? I do not know about you, but I like to see what is inside before joining something.

I am just asking everyone to tone it down now before it becomes a problem. I do not want to put filters in place. Infact, I did not want to post this thread.

I think the cabaret is a good idea. I am usually pretty tame on the boards, but it is nice to be able to REALLY express myself somewhere when the feeling strikes.

Is it really necessary to swear to express yourself? Shouldn't be!

What wives and kids would possibly be viewing this forum?

Isn't there a swear in our club name? Or is Ass exempt?

It should not be restricted to members only. Then we'll never grow. Wink

Just watch your mouths, assholes. We'll all be fine. Very Happy

Cabaret!

There are a couple of Craigslist "housewives" from the Cape that I'd like to articulate about.

Maybe we could get some stories from Bill Re: the latest stimuli news and young college liberals. Smile

For me I'm more worried about the wife, my kids are just babies.

IMHO, it's not so much that women or kids might see it, and I can swear like a sailor, too (I was one!), but have you ever ended up on a forum you were not a member of, and every post on the forum is full of f-bombs and other disrespectful language, do you stick around and become a member? I sure don't. I think to myself, well, heres a bunch of middle-school and/or ricer wanna be bad-asses more concerned about sounding cool (which they don't) than having an intellegent conversation. I'd like to keep the B-body forums more intelligent than the average ricer forum. Once in a while is understandable, but when it becomes common it just sounds ignorant. Just one A-hole's opinion! Very Happy

I agree on the language, and believe me I can make sailors and truckers turn red. Yes we have freedom of speech and blah blah blah but why make us sound like a bunch of cavemen to new ppl visiting???

I have a wife and a new born baby, both love b-bodies (at least my daughter will someday Smile )

My wife has that 93 LS caprice, and has had 2 boxy ladies and a few other bubbles as well so she would be interested in this site, however wouldn't care so much on the language.

I think you all can get what needs to be said out without the use of profanity, and hey... Isn't that what the emoticons are for anyway? To express how we feel? A few "S's" and maybe some "A's" are ok....but the F's are unnecessary.
