| The battery in a Camaro is held by a little plastic bracket on the top of the coolant reservior. Well at least it is until it breaks, which is on almost all of them. Items required: 1/4 round stock, 1/4-20 bolt and washer Tools required: MAPP gas torch, vise grips, 1/4-20 tap/drill, and spray paint A little heat, bend to a L shape with a couple eyes for the bolts, paint and: The hole in the core support is already there, just drill and tap. That's my what I got done today message. I'd thought I'd share for all the other members that drive a Camaro. | |

| So he stuck 1 end under a bolt with washer, heated it to red hot, bent the hook. THEN, dragged it across the battery, heated it red hot & pounded it down with a BFH contoured right around the battery. Looks pretty simple.. _________________ Steve 96BBB 28K 3.42 Bolt-ons 95BBB 100K 3.73 383 New DD...already broke fixt the 4L60E twice 95 Black WB4 Hole...ee...grail 96 Black WB4 No holes in this 95BBB 189K 3.08 Old DD Stolen...by Matt. | No BFH needed, vise grips only. I heated it and made one bend, let it cool while I searched for the BFH and cleaned the garage, heated and made another bend, let it cool while I searched for the BFH and cleaned the garage, heated and made another bend, let it cool while I searched for the BFHand cleaned the garage, heated and made another bend, let it cool while I searched for the BFHand cleaned the garage, heated and made another bend, let it cool while I searched for the BFHand cleaned the garage, heated and made another bend, let it cool while I gave up looking for the BFH and just cleaned the garage, painted it. Finished celaning the garage and found the BFH. Bolted it in the next day. It's actually more of a Z shape with a slight S curve by the core. It came out close enough on the first pass. You can buy one for about $20 but then you'd have nothing to do in between cleaning the garage. | |

| But hey, at least the garage is clean! (sounds like I need to make one of those hold-downs too...) _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... (sounds like I need to make one of those hold-downs too...) Well it's mostly a true story, except the part about finished cleaning the garage. Why would you need a battery hold down for a 4th gen Camaro? Did anyone else think "The two door thread" was going to be about a Camaro? | |
