Fraking scan tools

I bought an obd1 cable today for my laptop from obd electronics, this is the one everyone said was good. I set it up, the cable works great, but the phucking ddt and freescan aren't working. WTF. Freescan said I have a code 26, CCP electric something, all I found was a quad driver problem. So I don't know wth is wrong.
I can't get any real time data. I set it up for 94-95 lt1 impala. I'm stumped. Sound I just buy a laptop version? Pisses me off, 65 for a cable that does very little.

More description please. Where did you get the cable from? Are you using a pc, or laptop? if laptop, is it plugged into lighter 12 volt dc, or 120volt ac. How long is the extension cord? How long is the cable?

This is the cable I bought. Laptop was not plugged in, Dell, windows xp.

did you try datamaster ? I never had any luck with freescan

Maybe a software install issue? I'd try removing the software and doing a full reinstall then any updates or anything that are needed before plugging the cable into the laptop. Windows likes to guess at what you're plugging in and use default drivers if you plug things in without installing the software first.

The free trial of datamaster does nothing. They come free on the disc. Anyone know what the code 26 is?

26= ECM detected the wrong potential voltage at the #1 quad-driver module circuit for 20 seconds.

I'm getting info that says up to 93 the air pump, egr & evap solenoid is DTC 26.
94-95 is JUST evap purge solenoid
