| The front seals are pretty much strait forward, Just looking for some helpful tips for the oil pan gasket replacement. Any helpful tips from you guys that have tackled an oil pan gasket while still in the car, would be much appreciated. TIA, Tom | |

| I think you have to remove the motor mount bolts and raise the motor. | |

| I have the gaskets if you need one. Just tryin to save you some bucks if you haven't bought it already.
For install I'm pretty sure you need to lift the motor about 2 inches. | |

| I have done this before. You must first pull the bolts for the engine mounts, and the oil level sender in the pan. disconect the oil lines from the adapter, and the one nut that holds them to the pan, and the adapter, and the tranny lines from the accessory mount. You sould already have the intake plumbing off to get to the front. Then lift engine as high as it will go, watching for wires. At this point you can unbolt the pan, and swap out the gasket, now is the perfect time to swap out the front cover gasket as well. It is good to put a small bead of RTV at the corners where the front cover, and the one piece rear seal adapter meets the block, and reinstall in reverse. You can buy the FEL-PRO lower engine kit. It will come with every gasket and seal you will need including a small white w/p seal tool and a rear main seal. You can get it at autozone. Good luck! We are all counting on ya! |
