| ok, up for sale is my old MSD Pro Billet HEI distributor. This is model number 8365. I am only asking 75.00 for the following reasons... -there is no coil included ( 50-75 at any parts store for an msd or accell) -the module inside is an OEM unit, NOT the MSD with the rev limiter ( honestly the msd one is junk. I went through three of them befor simply installing a standard HEI module!) Distributor does come with a newer MSD cap and rotor, spring and weight advance kit, and new advance stop bushing kit. Literally all you need to fire this distributor up is a coil. 75.00 for a distributor that retails for 350.00 on summit and jegs. Magnetic pick-up and module currently installed work great together. Unit is ready to drop in! | |

| Cap and rotor are the same. Everything else is different. Completely different engine from a chevy in every way possible. Cap/rotor, oil drain plug, air cleaner and pcv valve are about all that swaps between them. | |

| My 74 has a points style distributor on it with one of those Pertronix kits plugged in (previous owner set it up) and I'd kind of like to swap it over to HEI. I tried setting the timing and it seemed all screwy, IIRC I couldn't even turn the dist. in right direction because something was physically hitting the external coil. My other 74 Impala had a coil-in-cap HEI like this one. (75 was officially the first year for HEI, but some 74s came with it somewhat unannounced). Technically you think this would work on there? Would a standard coil work too? | |

| Yea, def. An oem coil will work just fine. You could also set it so you can adjust the timing on ur current setup too if you dont want to spend any money. The problem your having is an easy fix. Easier to explain on the phone. Shoot me a ring... 413-455-9795 | |
