My New Wagon! Empty
PostSubject: My New Wagon!   My New Wagon! EmptyTue Jul 20, 2010 5:50 pm

Pulled the trigger on a 1994 Caprice Classic Wagon. Tan woody, 104K, new tranny and what made it irresistible was that it never has been driven in salt or in the winter. Not that I needed another wagon, but I couldn't help myself. The underneath is spotless, not a sign of rust. $1800

Here are a few pictures.

I usually HATE tan cars, but that looks sharp!

The only thing she said when I told her was "that's OK, I'm getting a new sleeper/sofa for the spare bedroom". I agreed and said that was a good idea! I'm easy.

Nice score.

I will in the next day or two. It's cleaner than the blue wagon, and that's from FL. I didn't need another wagon, but because it was so rust free, it lured me in and I couldn't escape. Now I just need a nice CC to make the set. It will be a while before I pull that one off.

See you in a week, bring the console and inserts to WF, thanks!

Congrats on that find Tom, I'd have made the same decision, when something is that dry and solid underneath you have to grab it.

That thing should detail up super nice. Did you sell the Chrysler?

Hi Matt

I did sell the Chrysler, I think I mentioned it on the forum, it had a cracked block. Just didn't want to deal with it. Got what I paid for it, so I was happy.

Congrats Tom but be careful. What she may have been saying is......
that's OK, I'm getting a new sleeper/sofa for when you move out of the big bed after the NEXT wagon you buy Laughing

No you've got it all wrong Steve, she doesn't need the sleeper/sofa for me. She'll make me go out into one of the wagons to sleep. That is an advantage over the sedans.

Let me take a wild guess, you might know where I can get a set.

Actually, I'm buying a set of N97's (being delivered to WF). Painting them silver, chrome rings and caps; like I have on the RMW.

Actually, I don't. I just think it would look real good with that combination.

I think a cool look would to either paint them body color with the trim rings, or a color close to the wood trim. scratch
