South Shore Meet info

The 1st annual south shore meet and great is on

It'll be located at Golf Country in Easton, Ma and is open to anyone in the club who would like to attend. It's free to those who don't want golf or ice cream and those who do get a group discount which will be explained below.

"Group rates are $6.50 per person for a round of mini golf and a small ice cream or $8.50 per person for a round of mini golf, 2 batting cage tokens and a small ice cream."

What if I want one batting cage token, two rounds of mini golf, and a large ice cream? How much for that?

lol this place is like 1.3 miles from my house.. i guess I could make an appearance anywho, if minigolf isn't your thing, there is a Driving Range right next to it..

Driving range is in back and has plenty of room for all you real golfers

In the area is plenty of food choices, plenty of gas stations, parts stores, and down the street is off-track betting for those with gambling problems

The place is right off rt-24 and easy to get to from I-93, I-95, and I-495. For those local it's on rt-138 right by the intersection for rt-106.

I might be down. Maybe my brother too. Might even have the OCC to bring down

We need more people. We should start pestering the other regulars and "convince" them to show

We also need to pick a date guys.

Sunday the 18th would be the better of the days for me. the 25th is kinda close to WF so id want some time to finish getting the car ready for the haul out to NY.

So far we have a few club members with a couple guests.

The only suggestion for a date is the 18th which is an off week for Nascar, so there aren't any excuses for some un-named people

Lets get some more support for this thing.

Come on guys. We need more people involved than just this. Lets at least bring in 10 cars to show that I'm not wasting my time here.

The location is great for families. It's easily accessed from every direction. It's as cheap as you can get since it's free to just show up and hang out. The date is far enough off so that people can plan accordingly. What's the problem?

I put it in climate controlled storage. It is awaiting a few things, when I'm ready to tear into it and install everything, I will pull it back out and drive it when it is completed. For now I am driving my Oldsmobile Eighty Eight.

Get over it. My car has a bunch of holes down the hood from where the trim was supposed to be. It also has holes in the quarters from where sheet metal was supposed to be

Bring it even if it isn't finished and maybe we can help get some of it put back on while we have ice cream

we just pulled the ratiator and flushed the system and put it back 2gether. hes waitin on his wiring harness for his fans. and thats it. other than that we have 2 throw his new rear springs in. its close

we need 2 recrute some northeast guys down here. i know cravo can get some people down here.

The northerners are avoiding this thread like it's the plague. I think they don't feel like making the trip unless one of the Bills commits to going.

Maybe they're just not up for mini golf and ice cream.

Newbie here...I'm in for a Saturday... my '94 needs some work (not just 'cause I'm OC) and someone just scratched my hood pretty good - but hey I'll deal.

Boston is the reason why I'm hardly ever down the S. shore! I can't force myself to pay a toll on the pike or the Tobin bridge, I don't believe in it, and the rest of the ways through are also a PITA w/traffic. I'm only on the other side of Boston, I'm guessing the other non-chime-in'ers are in the same boat.

I might try to come to this though

95 south has no toll. I don't remember one on 93 south either. I'd recommend mapquesting it and making sure "avoid tolls" is checked off. I know when I go up to Billys I don't hit a toll until I get to the state border regardless of how I go. I always joke that they should charge more to leave NH then to enter since that's when people would be happier about paying

I added the place to the club map for those who need easy access to directions.

And Hugh we already picked a date. Sunday the 18th as per someone who got their pick in ahead of you. Although that could be changed if there's enough demand for a different day. Or if the person who picked that day doesn't bring a b-body

Alright heres my story. Geico was supposed to have sent me my lost wages by now. They haven't. So as of right now I'm a maybe. Mostly because I have about $40 to my name, and that has to last me the week. I'll have to see what the rest of the week brings in the mail.

Maybe you can hitch a ride with someone coming from your direction. Then again it may be a long ride if your still having back problems. Either way don't go killing yourself just to make an appearence. You have a good excuse already

It's going to be a hot day Sunday so everyone remember your sunscreen. If people want to bring coolers or snacks or anything like that then feel free. The coolers will have to stay in the cars though so plan accordingly. I recommend enough drinks to keep every one in the car as hydrated as possible. No alcohol of course.

There's a 7/11 gas station a block away for those who want to grab something that isn't sold at the concession booth. There's also a handfull of restaraunts in the neighborhood for those who want to have lunch before returning home.

Other than the golf course and the batting cages everything is outside. So you can come and go as you please throughout the event.

Don't plan on doing any modding Sunday, but if you have something basic and doesn't involve fluids then maybe we can sneak it through. Otherwise just hit up a local to see if they want to have a super mini mod day after the meet is over.
