I've never done it, but I found it in my Chiltons-seems pretty straight forward. Perhaps another job for the HS kids and I'll stick to getting that sheet metal done

i gotta figure out the ground issues in the truck that effect the fuel pump because my car stoppped on me yesterday and it was because i opened my drunk before..

i also wannna do my water pump over( to install the correct seals) and do my heater core..also want to install my racetronix fuel pump haness maybe that can help my ground issue since it will have to be connect to the alternator

do you gus think i should bring my headers?

I would plan on the fuel pump fix, and the water pump. Headers and heater cores are each their own mod day I would think.

I'd do the heater core the same time as the water pump. Just make sure to bring new heater hoses and clamps incase the old ones need to be cut off.

I think im set parts wise... The only things I need are wagon only and I'm getting something else from No Moa. As for the weather I would say Friday for a final call. The weather here has been so screwy. It was supposed to rain today and tomorrow. its been sunny and 60's...

Btw, any idea how long an intake manifold gasket would take to replace? I want to do one but I also don't want to waste the day doing it... I still need to find some sheet metal too

Did you snag those sway bars and rear lowers for me Doug? If so please oh pretty please try to hold onto the mounting hardware too. I don't know how much of my chassis is reusable at this point

How far away is this place?? If I mapquested the right addess, its less than 3hours for me.. And I'm 20mins south of boston, does that sound right??

it's north of Brattleboro, close to Bellows Falls. From my house (right outside Springfield) its like 80 miles.

Rich is running 4.10's so highway miles aren't his friend. Not to mention the engine mods that cause even worse mileage. Plus he doesn't like being in the woods

That is about right, might even sound a bit longer than it will really take.

I would never do an Intake gasket and then drive the car home. Whenever I do it I leave the car off overnight. Just wouldn't want to take the risk. I think Rich did it though without trouble?

I'd say by 8pm Saturday.

Can I use the lift if I get there early to do o2's?

Can't attend due to family function. I do plan on making the drag day, possibly staying somewhere up there.

What time is everyone going to be arriving? I have about an hr and a half drive straight up -91 so I want to get an idea of when to leave.

2 weeks ago they told me I had the day off. When I got on site (those silly bastards let me in a nuke plant again!) my lead told me that we were working strait through, but our Millstone contact said he wanted us to have a day off. Sooooo, If the Type "F" Tranny mod goes well, and I some how get the day off, I'll be there.

I'm looking at getting there before noon by a bit. Not a big bit though

I'm just hoping there's enough time to get my front end done. I can always do the rear end stuff later when there's more time.

Does anyone happen to have a set of front brake dust shields laying around? The metal shields that go between the spindle and the rotors to keep brake dust off of everything. I'm not sure if the ones I have will work right with the larger rotors.

No problem, I'm all for guys using it for quick stuff like that, I just don't want someone trying to undertake a big project that could even possibly leave it stranded on there. I have a buddies car here now that is awaiting an LSD install on the transaxle, so the lift has to be free at the end of the day Sunday to him to get in there Monday.

I am going to wait till early evening Saturday and check the weather, right now it looks like low 50s and showers...I'll make the call Saturday evening on if we hold out for the rain date of the 25th or if we go for this Sunday

Sounds like the 25th might end up being the better day. Showers are one thing but high 40's low 50's make for very trying times laying on the ground

OK, I think we are going to officially delay this. Weather looks like rain/snow and high of 45. That blows, lets hold out for next weekend and see what it looks like.

Perhaps I will have my BRP LS swap items by then and we can all scope out the quality.

Screw the rain, the garage looks big! Alse I gotta do is install some rear window struts that I got from RockAuto, didnt have time to get the Rear sway parts I need..

I can't justify driving that far with the car in it's current condition. I was willing to push my luck in the hopes of getting the front end done so the ride home would be safe, but I doubt I can accomplish that much work in the bad weather. I'd hate to end up stranded with the car half done, so I'll play it safe this time. I'll deffinetly be at the next one though.

Pooge/ anyone else coming. Does anyone have a cutoff wheel to cut sheet metal? I just went and looked for ours and its gone. Every other flippin air tool in the garage except that one. I was really hoping to get my quarters patched

Brad if you're replacing the entire front end (Idler Arm, Centerlink, All Tie-Rods & Adjuster sleeves) then it really is not that hard, nor does it take too long. The whole thing will slide out & back in as an assembly.

My only concern would be the long drive home with a wacked alignment.

I have three. Two air powered, one electric.

Really hope its still on for tomorrow, as I won't be able to make it if it is next sunday, the 25th... Thats Lesley's birthday..
