GUESS what-I'm f'd

I had some free time actually since last weekend I had my boy alone and till today I have been really sick. Story:
Resealing intake due to leak and started, threaded bolts in untill 2nd in (next to TB) pass side is stripped!
Anyone have any experience with this issue?
I am currently lurking for any intel like helicoil or tapping.

Are you saying the bolt hole into the head is stripped? Aluminum heads?

yeah-my wife and Jack were ill and now the last 2 days it is me now.
Yes, it's in the Alum head, the bolt hole for the intake so I have to pull it off again and try a tap b4 a helicoil so there goes some of my weekend-dam car!!

An old time hot rodder taught me a trick take a similar bolt and cut a series if slots lenght wise in the bolt (obvious one you don't need) to create a simple tap - use taping oil - I tried it on a striped out hole in steel head worked for me....

Well, at least you know why your intake was leaking

Helicoil is a fix
OR
Replace 3/8-16x1-3/8 (?) with 7/16-14 or 7/16-20
(tap will cost you $12 +/-)
OR
Another option is JB Weld a stud in place but then you have to slide the manifold into place over the stud which can be a PIA

Thats why the military doesnt let me tap aluminum, shyt happens
