Soo Does anybody know a thing or two about Town Cars??

So. We have the newly acquired 95 Roady Wagon from NC now(rust free!), so dont think im leaving! But, I came across a deal(i think??) on a town car, and I had to buy it.. specs

1996 Lincoln Town Car
Light green color?(almost the same as DGGM!) With NO vinyl roof!
Light grey, almost white, leather interior
Its a Signature Series( and a Jack Nicklaus edition if that matters)
Its loadeddddd.
150k on it.

The air suspension doesnt work, its got a blown brake line. needs brakes all around. needs four tires. sunroof leaks. BUT, I got it for $350.00 bucks, so I dont think im doin too bad!

Basically, im thinking if I sink a G note into it, i'll have a nice daily driver.. My question is, do you think its worth it? I already bought the car so its almost at the point of no return lol. Are these cars know for being reliable cars? Any input is appreciated! Thanks guys!

They're not bad, but not as easy to keep going as the GM counterparts...still a great car though.

You can yank the air suspension in back and replace it with shocks/springs IIRC. These cars burn oil when they get up there in miles but if this one is doing it you'll know by the blue smoke clouds.

For the price it's a deal! I think the parts like brake components and all that are pretty inexpensive and you could do it all yourself so labor should be pretty low too.

On those 95-97 cars, there are six small bulbs for the wide taillight running under the trunklid that always seem to be burned out partially, and people always forget to replace them so it looks like crap! When you get the bigger problems out of the way I'd check those...

well ive had two lincoln conti,s. and knowing what i know now. i should have bought caddys. but for the price. you should be alright. depending what you find wrong with the air suspension. or you can say its bagged.

I think you can replace the bags with crown vic springs, but I am not sure.

Its $350 bucks, beat that thing for all its worth.
