See thread...hacking off the exhaust somewhere behind the cats, but not sure where to do it. Can someone show me? Here is the link...

You got it! No mufflers or any pipe, just hacking it off somewhere behind the cats. Where should I cut?

About 27 feet beyond the cats. Just to be safe.

Why didn't you just cut out the cats, get some pipe sections and clamp them together. cheap muffler delete.

LOL I am almost embarrassed to show my sawzall workmanship! It's pretty effin haggard but it sounds good and it seems to breath easier now. Is there any disadvantage to cutting the entire thing off as opposed to throwing straight pipes on it?

I thought if I cut the cats it was gonna start messing things up. So I just left them, plus I know OBD II cats are expensive as hell!

SMH... Evil or Very Mad

Tom, I'm sure it's loud, but it must sound like ass!!!! cherry

Throw a pair of mufflers on it with turn-downs at least. Try not to light anything on fire or asphyxiate yourself. Wink

Dude, I LOVE loud cars... But seriously... How white trash are you Mainards??? And do you really want to drive for 2+ hours a day in that drone machine???

It's loud as hell! As long as I don't sit still for more than 30 seconds I am fine. I have never really considered myself white trash but I now know what it feels like. And fortunately I don't have to drive 2+ hours a day anymore, just a 10 minute drive into town for work now. And yes the drone sucks you into this weird trance where its hard to concentrate Suspect

The only reason I did this is because now I'm more motivated to get an x pipe/less work for the shop when I get it put on. That is my excuse cheers
