Selling a 1987 Monte Carlo LS (thought it was sold but nope).

Decent shape for a 22 year old car. 4.3 V-6 needs lifters, windows leak, landau top is tearing, some rust but nothing too bad, no radio (I took my CD player out). Tires are mostly flat and one is off of the rim completely so if you have some 5x4.75 rims and tires it would help get it out. Would have to be towed, a dolly from U-Haul maybe?

It needs to be gone by the end of the month or it's going to the crusher, I REALLY don't want to see that happen. It is a good candidate for a V-8 swap as were my original plans for it but lost my job, got married, having a kid and have no cash. My dad wants it out o the driveway.

Asking $450

That would make my daughter a good car.

Is it drivable, but just makes a lot of noise? Think it'd make it to Nashua before it grenaded?

It's been a while since I last started it. Lifters make noise. It might (should?) make it to Nashua.

Hmmmm.... How's the wheelwell room in those? How wide/tall a tire can I fit in there?

I'm not sure how large you can fit, they seem fairly spacious.

Whole or cut up???

What? It's an important distinction. Wink

And I'll have to pass on the Monte. I'd love to grab it, and could probably convince the Mrs that I need it, but I really don't have the time for another project. It's tough though, because I have a good running LT1 and a nice 4L60E and a full harness and all the accessories just sitting in the garage doing nothing! Yeah. Tough call... Sad

That looks like a pretty solid car, most are rusted way worse than that!

I know. I'm REALLY struggling with this car I don't really need. Wink

On a very related note, does someone have a set of good B-fuel lines, from tank to engine and a good tank? Also looking to see if someone has a B-radiator and hoses?

I just want to see it go to someone who will do something with it. My dad and I bought it when I was in HS. I had always planned on a V-8 swap. I even had a 4-bolt 350 motor I was gonna use but, my Dad not being a car guy, scrapped it.

I am so tempted to buy it, and dump anything that will fit from the impala on to it.
