| I guess I can stop looking for a Blazer. LOL. 2000 Wrangler sport 4.0/5-speed. Runs mint, frame is solid, but needs attention in one spot before it becomes an issue, and it needs two front fenders. All in all, a great purchase. | |

| Did you get that from an auction Billy?
That's weird the fenders went but the rest of the tub looks good. Usually you see them go in other places. My friend's 97 lost parts of the frame rails roughly under where the doors are, they made patches to weld in but he got rid of it. | |

| A good friend has one as her winter beater. In August she backed out of the driveway and heard a bang. Lo and behold the Transmission crossmember had decided to release from the frame. The only thing left holding the drivetrain in place was the motor mounts. The Jeep looks good other than that. Bit of rust on the fenders and such but nothing to indicate how bad the frame is. It's since been "Welded up" but keep an eye on the transmission mounts. From what the mechanic said this is not the first time he had seen this happen. | |

| Yup. The rot starts from the inside out so if you see something, chances are it's lying in wait inside the frame and much larger in size! My friend's Jeep looked excellent with pretty much no rust to speak of on the body, it was really strange how the frame rotted. The rest of the undercarriage wasn't bad either actually. | |

| I spent a while looking over the frame from the front control arm mounts back. I found one spot on the passengers side near the rear control arm mount that is rusting from the inside out. The outside is fine, just a little surface scale. But I put my finger in the frame above the spot, and it was just a big heap of rust. I am going to be removing the center cross member/skid plate, and fixing that, and any other I find. It will be a winter project. Once here on Saturday, I will buy two new front fenders, and drop them off at the body shop for paint | |
