Yeah, that sucks. 93 South becomes a living hell in a matter of minutes if you are not south of say, Somerville (about 1 town north of Boston proper) by 6am on a weekday. 128 has it's issues too but you'll manage. Just shoot around 128 but still try to hit the whole loop early.
There's a very good reason that many people live 2-3 towns north of Boston don't venture south of Boston for months at a time. You're more likely to find me in Maine or NH than Quincy.

In this case "128" means 95 south, and 93 north between 95 and route 3.
Coming from Maine? You could do route 1 from Peabody into Boston. It's still going to suck but at least it's a shorter distance. I don't know how 1A gets around the airport, but you could even try to scoot over there from Chelsea and take the Ted Williams Tunnel to avoid the Tobin Bridge/Leverett Connector mess.

You Mainers crack me up. You know they do not allow horse and carriage on the expressway?
Morning commute is really rough. I would plan on getting a room in Weymouth just ofF 93/3. I really think that is your best bet. 128 is a parking lot from 6:30 to 9:30. Not to mention the time needed to even get to it from your place.
Good luck Glenn
