I always wanted to try driving trucks. I grew up around them on the fixing side. Too bad I don't trust myself with a manual trans, much less one connected to something so big.

I'm in, though my history is much shorter...Lived in southern VT and NH sine I was 3 years old, so it's all I know. Graduated high school in 2002, did a few odd jobs here and there, and now work for myself with a lawn care and mild carpentry company that keeps me pretty busy just trying to keep up with it, not so much in how much work I have...LOL.

I have been a gear head and car freak since my dad bought a 68 Camaro convertible in pieces when I was very young. by the time I was 10 years old the Impala was hitting Chevy dealers and I told myself that it was the coolest car ever and I never thought otherwise. 2 years ago I finally bought one, and although I am always wrenching on it, I do feel like it is a very reliable car and I am close to making it to the point where I don't HAVE to work on it anymore.

I have a girl I have been dating for 6 months, which is a record for a "Love 'em and leave 'em" type like myself (according to my mother anyway), and I think she might be the one, but she is moving to Kentucky in August for a one year intership, so I guess that will be the real test!

I'm in the process of building a garage with an apartment on my small property in Walpole, NH and plan to be in it by the fall (So I won't have to part these Impalas in my driveway and parents garage anymore). It has been a long slow build cause money is tight, but it is for everyone, so I can't complain.

So that is me,

Doug

believe it or not. theres a lot of companies switching over to automatics. you can make money. if you can get on with the right carrier. but its not a job you want if your married with children. unless you can be home every night. i was lucky when i got hired by land o lakes.

She'll be gone for a year, I might visit her once, but I have a very busy work schedule except March, so it's tough. She will likely make it back for Christmas, so that would be cool. It's gonna be tough, but I think she's worth it.

Thanks,

Doug
