Would anyone out there be interested....

Anyone interested in going to the http://www.dreamride.org/ with my son and I next year? It costs per person, in each car. But its for Special Olympics and is a HUGE event. Last year was fantastic! It would be GREAT to get a big gang of B & D bodies there!

Just seeing the Ferrari's, Lambos, Allards and classic American muscle was GREAT!!!

Of course there's more than just Lambos and Ferarri's. and classics. John Ratzenberger was there. It is a HUGE event. Check out the website. I think it would be a GREAT time for the group!

Well I hope you DO have a car....   Nick and I go on Saturday. It goes from Papa's Dodge in New Britain to Farmington Country Club. Its a great ride...Thing is you gotta be to Papa's Dodge first thing in the AM. Sorta like 9am to 10am. Something like that. Then everyone goes together to Farmington where the huge show is. Oh yea....Coffee , donuts and muffins are provided in the morning. Then, lunch is provided. This past summer it was catered by (I believe) Aqua Turf. Fantastic food!

People come from about 11 states. Bikers from FLorida on up and around CT. THOUSANDS of bikers!!! It is a HUUUUGE fundraiser! They raise millions!

I think that's a pretty good idea!  Guys like to get in their cars and go for rides.  The club definitely could use an organized event during the summer.  There are quite a few guys in Western Mass, NY, and CT, that would be within striking distance; plus the NH and MA guys.

Dang then lets DO it! We can ALL pre-register at the website. I do not think its ready quite yet.....I'll check it out and get back to you all here....Gotta get to bed right now...its late...

Just to let you all know....I didn't know what they charged per person. I just checked and its Dream $30 Driver & $20 passenger. (Children have different prices I believe...) That's right from the site. I'm still going to do it because its for a good cause. They haven't finalized anything for this year yet. I'll let you all know as soon as they do. I also have their number, and will call them soon to find out about groups, and rates for groups if they have them. So I may need to know how many of us will go!

They have set the date! Next is to find out details of a group endeavor...

The time has come for registration for the Dream Ride. This is an epic cruise. It is on August 22-24th. There are Ferarri's, Maseratti's, Allards, McLaren's....... The olympians ride in these cars. Also, the dealerships for these cars are there with the new models....  If you want to go on jjust Saturday, we can meet there as early as possible on Saturday, and cruise to the Polo grounds together.

It starts at Papa's Dodge in New Britain CT. and goes to the Farmington Polo Grounds. Breakfast is provided at Papa's and lunch by Aqua Turf at the Polo Grounds. Oh, and Papa's has its own little car museum inside, which is open to participants that day.

I am going to contact them and see if there is a group rate, as it is about $30 per driver/car, and extra per person in each car. Hey, it IS a fund raiser.....  

Please let me know if you want to come. When I contact them I will give them a rough idea of how many. We can all meet somewhere and go together or just meet there whenever...??
