This car is very much beaten. But parted out could be worth it if you could grab it for less than a grand.

Idk. I'm still not seeing it. Is it because its a 9C1 that needs paint, some interior work, AC, and some rust repair?

Would you part it out if it was an SS in equal shape? Or would you put it back together?

Isnt thats what we do? Buy cars that need some work, maybe do some custom stuff and call it our own? It just grinds me a little how some of the B body community view the Caprice or 9C1 as a beater car or parts car just because of a few quirks. Aren't we automotive enthusiasts? Why not leave things in better shape than when we found them. To each his own tho and I see why this I "beaten".

My Buick is in almost this condition, but that's not stopping me. Granted, my 9C1 is in much better shape, but at the rate people junk and part out some the otherwise save-able Caprices, there's gonna be little to none left!

As with all cars, there is a cost benefit analysis that must be done. Not all cars can be saved and sometimes it makes more sense to salvage what you can. To be honest whether a car is an SS or not is part of that evaluation. Ultimately the answer to that question lies with he who must make the decision.

That car is strange- some areas are trashed and some areas look to be in pretty nice shape. I've never seen a door on one of these with a rot hole in it like that before.
