| Yup, you read it right! I really hope to be able to pull this one off. I can't afford to store both halves this winter and I need to finally put them together to stuff the car in the tent for the winter. This is a big day and I'll need some help. Anyone who wants to come down is welcome to. Once I decide I have enough guys lined up to make it I'll call it official and send out the address to anyone who volunteered. The short version is that around 9:00 AM I'll like to start getting the shyte all together at my house in Wilmington, MA and have it all set to be a complete body on frame car by the end of the day (sundown). Hey if GM could do it all day long, we can do one of them in a day right!? Pizza will be provided at the end! So even if you come down and man the jack for a few minutes you get a free lunch! So please make it if you can and LMK right here! Mark your calendar for Sunday Nov. 17th at my house! | |

| Matt, I will attempt to be there if at all possible.
I am on call this week but if I can peel away I will. I will more than likely only be available in the afternoon.
If that helps let me know.

Douglas. Hey anything helps! If you have the time feel free to stop by! Even though it isn't the closest spot for you to just jump over to. Anyway guys with your help it looks like this will be on and hopefully the body will be on too! My address is 21 Parker St. Wilmington, MA VERY close to exit 38 on I93! Like five minutes off the exit if the lights are timed right! Keep that in mind while you plan your root! my number is 5oh8 423 seven7four1 and I will be able to talk anyone through directions if they need them. Plan to get there at 9:00-9:30 ish but don't break any speed records (Crovo). This should end the clubs meets for the year on a good note

| One more note to anyone coming:
If possible, can I ask one person to bring a floor jack, preferably a high lift 3+ Ton jack that is reliable!
Maybe a few jack stands thrown into the mix also, the taller the better. You will be bringing them home at the end of the day, I won't steal anyodys tools I promise!
Thanks!

| I'm not sure what time of the day I'll be able to come by or for how long yet. I have to build my "garage" this weekend and finish it so I hope to have that out of the way tomorrow.
I have some "truck" jackstands here in Reading...I have an old school huge 2 ton (?) Snap-On floor jack that looks like they underrated the load capacity, but that is in Malden right now. If I get a chance I can grab that thing.

| I've got a pretty nice jack and some stands. As long as the stands aren't in use, I'll bring em by.

| So...where's the frame? Is the body still up & supported like I saw it last? Your plan is... Roll the frame under? Change supports on the body so you can drop it? Drop it? Run a few bolts thru the mounts & ...? Just wondering what you've planned...knowing full well...you've thought about it WAY more then most of us. _________________ Steve 96BBB 28K 3.42 Bolt-ons 95BBB 100K 3.73 383 New DD...already broke fixt the 4L60E twice 95 Black WB4 Hole...ee...grail 96 Black WB4 No holes in this 95BBB 189K 3.08 Old DD Stolen...by Matt. Just wondering what you've planned...knowing full well...you've thought about it WAY more then most of us. The plan is to roll the frame under to where it's in a good enough position that it sort of lines up then position all the upper body mounts onto the frame weather supposed to be lubed them put the collars and etc. etc. After that lower the body down by the two by timbers slowly on to a point where we can get the body onto jackstands on the pinch weld After that We will slowly raise the frame up onto a point where we can running a few of the bolts and some securely position the frame on jackstands and hopefully we can then with off of the frame to release the body from those jack stands Once the frame and body together are on the jackstand securely I can concentrate I'm running most of the other Boltzen as a temporary until I can get replacement stainless hardware And that's when I order the pizzas we start the bullshitting and we all just have fun until gets too cold | |

| LOL yeah that's it. Looks like the pic has been updated! Speaking of that, one last update. This isn't MY place. This is my mothers house and property, so I should have mentioned it earlier but this isn't a kid friendly club event like most mod days and roundups are. Too much going on, it's a popular cut through street, and my mother would be pretty worried about all of the things that could possibly go wrong. Unfortunately that means one member I haven't seen in a long ass time can't make it now, which blows but it's my mothers house and her rules. Hell the fact that I can even do this here is a huge sacrifice on her part. I mean, look at that crappy tent eyesore! So I'll say it again, if you want to spend the day with your family, this probably isn't the day for it. Which stinks because I'm sure any badass member's kid would love a jump start on their restoration skills lol. But it's a liability thing. Sorry guys. Also, the house is old, and so are all of the systems. I hate to say it but too many flushes at once and it will be a plumbing day not a body on frame day So I kindly ask that all restroom visits be made up the street at the Shell station. When I say up the street I mean it is literally at the end of the street! Sorry again guys, but the porcelain throne will be off limits. Hopefully this won't drive everyone away because I need the help. Sorry for any inconveniences, and I hope to see you guys tomorrow! | |

| I was all set to head down till I found out I couldn't blow up your toilet after murdering out 13 Taco Bell borritos on the way down....
Seriously though, sorry I couldn't make it, hunting went late and I'm pretty overtired, so I didn't want to do 4 hours of driving today.
Looking forward to seeing how you guys made out

LOL That was a good one. We made out really well! I had a bunch of stuff that I would have liked to get done today, but the most important goal was achieved! That's what really counts! Big thanks to everyone who did come out, and extra thanks to Steve and Justin for sticking it out and getting this job done and doing it safely! Couldn't have done it with out those two. OH and how could I forget Crovo! The biggest helper of today! He did help though, he was instrumental in moving the tent garage back to it's proper location. And I can't forget about Matt who showed up at the tail end of it all and helped me clean some of the crap up before the drizzly rain soaked it all. Thanks again guys! Mission accomplished! https://badass-of-ne.forumotion.com/t3490p500-the-official-1987-two-door-body-off-re-build-thread
