Wanted to send out a thank you to good chunk of the members over the past two years who helped me keep my '96 going.
It was a awesome ride, but I had reached the point of driving a pseudo classic every day and after 20k miles in 2 yrs, with a hefty amount spent on mechanical and other improvements, just could not bring myself to driving it thru another winter and kill it.
Sort of paid it forward as this car needed a lot of attention and got it sorted and was a blast to drive.
I don't have sellers' remorse as I sold it to a good friend who always wanted one and is a GM tech. Has a two bay set up and plenty of room for her.
So when the itch hits, I can ask to take her for a ride.
Commuting with it was such a surreal experience as it really was a throwback and did put people on notice.
Down the road, I know I will be back in a B Body.
Got a baby girl coming in December, so keeping a rolling classic on duty 24/7 became more of an expensive challenge when it was the primary car. My 2 yr old is a gear head bad... And was whining about where the car went. So I told him selling cars makes sense when the time is right.
Thought long and hard about a winter beater and then drive the SS 3 season, but sometimes you know the right thing to do for a car is to sell it. Crovo- you know that first hand!
The goal in a few years will be to get a 9c1 or a DGGM.
I couldn't pass up the offer and the next daily driver only has 25k on it.

Anyhow.. I plan to still visit the site and read up, enjoyed lots of the posts and good people here.
