Woot!
Have you heard from Tim? He broke down in NC yesterday.
What about Justin? No word from him. And that's very unlike him...

Tim got here as we got back from the show. He had a vibration which turned out to be a wheel bearing. This happened just over the NC line. He bought some tools and tried to change them, but the damn spindle was stripped! Luckily he located a Roadmaster in a yard nearby and snagged the spindle, bought new bearings and a rotor and got it back together and back on the road.

Wow, good for Tim- I definitely would not have tried/wanted to fix that myself on a trip, but I suppose the circumstances might change things. Mad props!

When you stuck on the side of the road far from home you make things happen

I left New England and drove through a snow storm in the process. The car was super clean and now covered in salt.
I got to North Carolina just over the Virginia border and decided I would like to wash the car and get her looking sharp again. I spotted a DIY car wash right off the highway and took exit 173 on i95 S, Roanoke Falls, N. Carolina. Pulling into the parking lot I heard a squeeking and then my brake pedal was going down pretty far. I saw grease coming from my passenger front center cap. I grabbed the top of the tire and pulled, the rotor was loose. The front bearing looked like it exploded and the threads on the end of the spindle were stripped. Good thing I stopped and noticed or the wheel could have possibly came off. I was starting to think I was going to have to have it towed and pay a shop to fix it. My mom got in touch with a local yard and found a spindle. After a long day chasing tools and parts I got it all together and reached my destination without issue. Before I head home I'm going to make sure all is well. I missed the show but got to see some cool cars and good people anyways. I made it to my mothers in PSL and ill be hangin here til Monday night.
I never cleaned the car because by the time the car was fixed it was many hours later and I just wanted out of there!
The mess got a lot worse than this as time went by.
Spindle.
Somewhere near the GA/Fl border... I'm not sure exactly which state I was in at this point I think FL. Coffee break.
In Port Saint Lucie, FL... my wife drying the caddy after I finally got to wash it today.
All cleaned, looking nice in the florida sun.
I jacked up each side in the front. The RF is loose again, but not very bad. LF has a tiny bit of play. I'm going to pull it apart and see what's up. LF will get new bearings/grease. RF maybe a new rotor. I ended up having to use the old rotor because the rotors that AZ had was a bad batch or something because the hub was too big to fit the wheel..

I go down to Port Saint Lucie every year. What a beautiful place it is down there. Wish you a safe trip back.

Yeah man, godspeed on the ride back. I had a lot of fun when I was down there, I stayed in Jupiter for a week and a half a couple years ago and it was such a departure for the norm. I think that is kinda close to PSL. I don't quite know if I could live there, but I was with a family doing "kid stuff" and everything and I feel like if I met more people my age and whatnot I'd have had even more fun, it was a blast either way.
The car really looks awesome lowered on those Vogues, Tim, it's almost like an exaggerated cartoon/animation of a Fleetwood, I can't describe it lol.
