| Hopping around ebay and came across this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/94-96-Chevy-Caprice-Impala-SS-Billet-Grille-Insert-/230834709339?_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D163%26meid%3D5391356019815145692%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D190538680659%26
Anyone ever install one of those? It says "cutting required" I assume you cut the center out of a stock grill and go from there? Or would you need an SS grill?

| I put one in my Tacoma. There is some drilling and cutting to be done. But they do look good when finished, if done correctly. I even clear coated mine before i put them on. | |

| Depending on where they have the mounting points, it can be a PIA
The cutting is easy....but you'll want to think it thru 1st.
Look good when theyre done
Different quality (weight & rigidity) could make a difference but I'd try it for that $
Put one in Matts car...he loves it

| I put one in my '93 Blazer a few years before I sold it to my father. It was a wretched PITA to install, the cutting of that grille sucked however, because it was so big. I then had to paint any black trimmed out areas where I had cut them to hide the cutting. Also had to prep where I cut as well.
The grille itself did hold up, but it took more time to keep clean and you should probably seal it to keep road salt from affecting it if you plan on exposing it to the winter or a lot of inclement weather.

| Thanks. Ordered it last night. The one I initially linked is for cars with an SS grill. This is the one for the stocker. Should be here next week.

| If you need any help let me know. I got a few extra grilles and an already ruined SS one incase. I also have a bin FULL of scrap metal and tons of nuts and bolts. Plus a drill press and some air tools. | |

| These instructions were written by someone with no grasp of english. Can anyone figure out what they're trying to say here? - Quote :
- With hacksaw blade, carefully cut out the egg crate section leaving about a 1/16" on the outside ring and the 7 mounting tabs on the inside of the ring

| It says "cut the middle out of the grill, but don't cut off the tabs that mount it to the grill support, jackass" | |
