...wait....isnt that Matt in the box with the smoking interior? No, you're thinking of a bubble, a DGGM colored one. LOL IIRC, the entire roof of a cruiser is completely cut off by the firing of bullets, and collapses, of course I assume they had already cut all the window posts and made it look like that happened...lol. That movie was truly ahead of it's time and never gets old, one of my favorites. I still won't watch the third one because I heard it sucks and didn't want it to ruin one of my favorite movies ever in the process. Speaking of movie boxies, there is a place in the area that supplied at request cars and prop vehicles for a lot of local films made here, last few times I was there I saw some unmarked box Caprices from what I believe to be the production for an upcoming movie called RIPD (that I didn't get a chance to work on) that has had to restart production for reshooting some scenes. I'm thinking of stopping in there and seeing if anything is for sale...lol | |

| Hi guys, I have a few more tidbits of info on this topic. I at the time was based on the east coast but working for a west coast tech company that was rapidly expanding in the Fremont Ca area. I would make regular trips to Ca. about once every three months. One of the new buildings was under construction at the time. The film producers contracted with the company to "finish" the building with a false glass facade that could be essentially exploded from the iron framework of the yet unfinished building in a new movie starting Arnold. The building was called the "Cyberdyne" building and was where the robotic arm and a computer chip of the 1st Terminator was stored and was being backwards engineered. Anyway, once the real building was finished with construction and occupied, a wall in the front lobby had a display case built into it and the robotic arm and chip were placed there for display. -Joe | |
