Mine shaft 9C1 update?

I was certain there was already a discussion thread about these cars. The search bar turned up nada.
Given the date the first link below was started (1/2012), I'm positive, the earlier thread here, if there was one, is out of date.

The cliff notes...
Guy buys 9C1 cars as a private civilian buyer from Hilltop Chevrolet (Somersworth, N.H.)
Against GM sales policies
Has dealer instal 3rd party emergency equipment (without any actual necessity)
Drives cars for a short while
Stores them in Brookline at a self storage place
Dude is basically a major league wacker
Has a bunch of 2000+ CVPIs and decides to sell the 9C1 cars for dirt cheep
This 70 y/o guy (in 2008) has a friend (a member of cv.net) post about it
Cars for sale include but not limited to :
-1985 Impala 9C1, 200 miles, black $4,000
-1986 Caprice 9C1, black, $4,000
-1996 Caprice 9C1
Cars were liquidated and some were re sold on eBay and such for around 3x the "out of storage" purchasing price
Most whereabouts unknown

If you are really interested in where they came from and the stupid stuff this guy had theses cars equipped with, read through the links.
I did, and I learned a lot and some questions were answered because some B body guys cared enough to investigate. There's links with 500+ photos of the cars too.

I'll have to take a look at that. I remember posting the '96 years ago when I first signed up for this, and some links to the original story. My most fond memory was Bill C. saying something like "I remember that cah, but the guy selling it was a doosh!!!", hahaha.

I remember seeing all the pictures of where the cars were stored. I believe it was a self storage facility and the same guy that took the pics had other photos of the junkyard with the old, old MSP cruisers...

I vividly remember the MSP cars. I knew it was you that posted it! I'll have to check the computer for my "right click save as" MSP photos. Did we ever come to a conclusion as to the location of that yard? I remember a google earth/maps link to a field with a few cars in it. I bet the caprice forum guys can find it.

On a side note, we have to get a bunch of guys to go out to that overgrown yard in N.Y. That sweetseventynine talked about. It won't be too overgrown in the winter, and just in case, harbor freight sells machetes Very Happy
