| Great pics and vids. As soon as my sunburn heals I'll say it was a great afternoon out. Too bad more people couldn't have run this year. And it was great to see everyone leave happy. | |

| Nice coverage, Billy. Really made me miss having a b-body watching all those guys on the track. Had a great time hanging out and meeting everybody. So, what were the result of the eliminations? | |

| Nab won the day The black bat was just consistant all day long, after he got out of the right lane. The right lane always sucks, always has sucked. |

| Next time we do this we need to combine everyone into a single camp. It was tiring walking from Crovo's car to Nab's and back. Everyone needs to learn to park together so I can drool more efficiently. I'd love to have seen Crovo parked next to BK. That would have made for an awesome pic. And for all those who missed it, Nab and BK and those guys are alot cooler than they come across online. I was intimidated by Roswell and BK at first and then it turns out they are really cool guys to hang with. And Nab has got to be the happiest person I ever met. I've never seen someone so excited to lose a race, and we all missed seeing it cause we were watching wheel studs get replaced in record time in the pits | |

| Yeah, those guys are ITG's, but teddy bears in person. Don't tell no one though! And I tried to get everyone to park together, but some people can't understand directions. Here's a link to my measely 40 pics... This whole day was "Bella Approved" Sort of... EDIT: - bammax wrote:

| hey Crovo, did you figure out the cylinder issue yet? Hopefully it's just a bad rotor in the opti or maybe some moisture got into it or something. Keep us updated on what happened. | |

I did not. Haven't looked at it. Or thought about it, even. I've got enough stuff to do with that car that it's safe to say I won't be driving it for a while. I still need to get Big Ugly out of my garage!

| I'm almost ashamed to admit I found out why my car ran so slow. No first gear! All along I was looking for ignition problems 'cause the way the exhaust sounds but #1 thinks my mufflers are just falling apart.
So I took 15 minutes today to change the shift solenoid, change the engine oil, take a break for a smoke, and replace the tilt lever knob. Now I can burn rubber again (well at least on 1 tire).

Maybe that is my problem. I thought you get a check engine light with a bad solenoid? Did you get a CEL Jim? |

| No check engine light. I found it when I hooked up a PC. If I was more "one with the car" or had a tach I'm sure I would have noticed earlier. I swear it now runs better now in every gear. I kinda thought RPMs seemd a little high (no 4th either) but dismissed it 'cause of the exhaust noise. Ihave this real nice almost backfire type noise when I let up on the throttle.
You can test for open solenoids or wiring at the PCM connector. I can look up the pin numbers if you like. I did find one post where the owner had a bad PCM.

| Shitf 1-2 pin B7 Shift 2-3 pin B12 Common 12v is Under Hood fuse #5. The PCM provides ground to engage the solenoid. Resistance is around 20 ohms.
No need to remove the valve body. It will only take 1 minute longer than it takes to change the oil. The solenoid is held in by a spring clip. Just remove the clip and it literally pops out. Be careful of the connector, the plastic is quite brittle. I broke the retaining tab. Second time around I found it easier to remove the clip first then the connector.
On that other forum.
No need to move the wiring harness out of the way as shown in the vid.
