94 SS...

Recently bought Glen's old 94 SS. Thought I would start this thread to show it off and let you guys see what work I am doing on it.

From the day I bought it:






I am looking at getting the front and rear bumpers painted at some point. I'll just do the prep and primer.

Dash was in pretty bad shape with the brown spots common to these cars on it plus it had baked on glue from a dash mat that was on there.







I used SEM #15393 (medium gray) and prepped with SEM Vinyl Prep (#38343). The vinyl prep worked awesome and actually gets the brown spots out without and serious scrubbing.

I didn't think the brown spots were going to be that bad from your earlier description, the stuff I mentioned on my brother's car was a very slight "hue" that wasn't too noticeable, that went away when I cleaned it and treated it.

Sigh, miss that car!

Yeah the previous owner worked near there.

Medium gray is pretty close IMHO. Maybe a tad light, but close enough. Plus, it is good to remember that you are trying to match 18 year old interior. Thanks again for the help!

Glen, I want to see pics of this 1A2 you have.

That 2 toned interior is pretty slick looking. Did you do it or was it already done? Good repair job tho! I can't tell the difference.

Yeah the interior was two-tone and I think I like it better than stock myself. Thanks!

I think now I want to freshen up the exterior: bumpers, crimp in the hood as well as some POR on the frame.
