Also, in one of them there is an SS in the background...does it have spotlight?

UNIT 20 I just registered here because i was googeling for old pics of Unit 20 and it´s weird that it´s still listed for sale because i bought this car back in 2006 It´s now on the streets around Frankfurt/Germany and was refurbished 2001 at George Bates´shop. The interieur still needs work, but i installed new shocks, new controls arms (tubulars in front), new steering gear and linkage and alloy heads with CompCams 1.6 RRs and dual springs, Clear Image Auto Tri-Ys & Cats and a Dynomax Cat-back. Unfortunately this one came without the G80 Option. This is the next thing on the list. My other B-bodies are a 91 9C1 and an 91 Olds Custom Cruiser.

| Looks great! I'm glad you found us!
My Bates car didn't come with G80 either.
I fixed that in late 2009.

| Thanks to both of you!
I had Vogtlands in front but only for 40mls. It looked cool but i was scraping the air deflectors too often for my taste.

| If you want it lower without it scraping too bad, use moog 5662 springs up front. They are for F bodies and I got mine for about $55. Great stance! | |

| Thanks for the warm welcome!
It´s a 96. It still hat it´s heavy bad ass pushbar when i bought it, but i decided to remove it for insurance reasons (Germany...) and weight saving. The original 9C1 Wheels with center caps are currently on my Olds CC.

| I kept my push bar too. I took it off when I bought it.
Did yours come with the spotlights or are they something you added?
The correct ones are Unity S6.
Do you have any paper work that goes with the car? Like, all the George bates refurb papers?

| Welcome! Sweet car too with a good history. You should start an intro thread to show off all of your B-bodies. Especially the 91 9C1! | |

Brian, Do you have pics of your 9C1 with the Moog 5662's? Are they as firm as the original 9C1 springs?

| Look at my build thread for pics of the 5662s installed with 17" AMRs. I don't recall how it rode with the 9c1 springs exactly. That was almost 2 years ago. Maybe Jim can help you out since he swaps so much . Just that I could go over a speed bump doing 30 mph. These are pretty firm but not too hard. I've only driven about 50 miles on them. They do not bottom out even on construction/dirt roads. That's with ZQ8 stops UNmodified. Before the body sat on the frame with 1coil chopped 80k ss springs. Do NOT do that. | |

| That Intake S-Pipe is made from carbon. Clear Image Auto sold those. I´m thinking about a RAISS though. I recently lost all the pictures i´ve ever made due to my own mistake but here´s one of the two pictures i currently have of my 91 9C1. Please ignore the ugly fan wireing and the dust. It´s been sitting for more than a year because i didn´t have the time to work on it. Need to pull the engine to seal the rear of the intake and to replace the engine mounts. Also, there´s rear axle fluid leaking into one of the brakes. It´s an Oldsmobile 403, TH350, 3:42 gear ratio. Runs mid 13s on street tires. Paint is crappy but somehow this makes this car even more fun to drive. EDIT: Found another pic elsewhere:

Do you have any paper work that goes with the car? Like, all the George bates refurb papers? Sorry Brian, i forgot to answer this one: Yes these are Unity S6 and came with the car, but the capsules aren´t shiny anymore and one has a dent. I will replacing them with a pair of brand new ones i found on Ebay for only $140. The Guys at George Bates did send me all the records of the work that was done on this car. Had a chat with George, - pretty cool guy!
