PostSubject: Bought another Oldsmobile   Mon May 04, 2009 1:18 am

My girls uncle called and asked if we wanted the tires he just put on his 1997 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight for my Eighty Eight. He said he was junking it because there is "something wrong with the motor." There is a check engine light on but it runs mint. Trans shifts nice and smooth. SO, I gave him $100 for it! I can't go wrong for what I paid and I can never have too many cars. The passenger door is damaged and the interior is absolutely filthy but who cares? Tonight I bought a set of Regency alloy wheels for it off c'list.

The wheels I bought for it look like this

But I can switch it up! Very Happy

I enjoy driving this car, it is smooth. I like it better than my '95. I did a seafoam treatment on it there was quite a bit of smoke. I also cleaned the FILTHY seats and I cleaned the dash, steering wheel and door panels. I topped it off with some peachy peach air fresheners. Smells good and feels nice and clean in there. I felt disgusted in it before everything was black and sticky. The CEL is on the code is for a MAF sensor. I found one on ebay for $40 it's en route right now. She is coming along great and will be an awesome daily driver allowing the Caprice to not rack up miles and wear from these terrible RI roads.
