| Did you have to find that online? I hardly ever see model kits in stores anymore, it's like they're afraid stupid kids in MA will eat the paint so we need to shelter them by banning them. haha | |

Nope. I got it at a local hobby shop. They have one SS model left. Its a different brand than the one I modded, and a few more bucks. I might snag it | |

| I have 2 of that same kit, one was exactly like that and the other came with the matchbox car as a bonus. They also make a "donk" 96 caprice kit that comes with the stupid ass 24" wheels, I took the tires and chucked them as put some torque thrusts from a 55 chevy kit on it instead. Haven't built one in a loooong time. Wanted to do one of every car I have owned. Chexk out Michaels (the craft and art store) all over NE. They still sell models. I picked up that donk kit from a big lots for $5 each last year. Good looking 9c1!!! | |

| Thanks I was at Michaels last night and they have crap for models, I like going to small hobby stores and paying a little more for the best stuff. The spotlights are from a 96 crown vic model, the wheels were from a custom 2005 impala die cast i picked up a while ago and the strobes are actually wood. And I used actual car paint to spray it. | |

| If your ever out in my area try hog heaven, they have a good selection. My father has like literally 1500 unbuilt model kits in his basement. He's a hoarder I think lmao! But only of models/diecast/matchbox and REAL cars, not trash like the ppl on tv. | |

| I had that kit with the matchbox car, too. I've got a stockpile of the SS models too. I musta built hundreds of kits when I was a kid! And even as recently as a couple years ago. I love building models. Some took days to do with all the painting and all... I have so many in the basement I still want to build! LOL! Nice Job, Brian. That looks great! _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... | Thanks for the comments. I will try and check out hog heaven. and yes, 1/25. it was a custom build for the washington navel district and has all the lights and wiring. I am going to try that at some point as i have ALOT of 1/24 and 1/18 police cars that will only benefit from such a mod | |

| Ha, I have that Monte SS one in the background there, a friend gave it to me (new in the box from around 1987) in HS and I built it, then some idiot knocked it on the floor and broke it/bent the roof. | |

| Some updates for my other hobby. I bought this 1/18 UT Impala SS from a member, a while ago, and decided to jazz it up today with some N.H. State Police decals from eBay. Antennas and dash and deck lights are in the mail... I since customized these... Bought these on ebay which ic nice because my '96 9C1 is from the LASD Johnny Lightning has since added this fine example of a caprice wagon Among MANY other die cast projects, Ive been taking orders from guys on my department to make these in all shapes and sizes. I even did one for a retirement pf 35 years. Heres a few... | |
