| Ever since Mr C. posted about his holy Grail red Subi, I have been thinking about a tread for just this. So hear it is. Tell us about your "Holy Grail" The rules are simple You can post one picture in one replay about one car, any color, and drivetrain, and special options, along with your description of the car, and why it is your Holy Grail. Mine is a 09 Pontiac G8 GXP in red with a six speed. I think they are a perfect mix of a car. 4 doors for the family, 6 speed for fuel milage, big V8 and six speed to bring out the race car driver in all of us. |

| That GXP is a good one for sure! But make mine blue with a blue interior please. That's what I'd want as an actual possibility for something I'd be able to own. A blown CTS-V might be fun, too... But... All out dream car? Today it's the Lambo Aventador. And I never was very good at following directions... Here's a pic for you 9C1 guys... | |

| I'm breaking the rules as I have two. 1st, Audi A8L W12. Black on black, with ebony wood accents. Long wheelbase for backseat comfort on long trips, W12 (yes, thats 12 cylinders) for disgusting amounts of power. 2nd 1996 Roadmaster. Black, wood delete, blue interior, non limited seats, tow pack, CD/Cassette combo. Dream wagon. LT1 power, wagon utility, lots of comfort. Perfect car for my goal of driving cross country. | |

I'm pretty much right there with you, save for the color. I'd get something more subdued. Like UPS Truck brown though my true holy grail is this exactly as is (assuming it's a 6 speed)

I like that it's basically GM thumbing it's nose as BMW, Audi and Mercedes for no longer offering a factory hot rod wagon in the US... It's the perfect car for me a supercharged V8 Station Wagon with a manual transmission. I think in about 3-5 years I'll be able to afford one.

| my one true "holy grail" car would be the 65 daytona coupe. It has to be the first and only daytona made in the US. I have followed this car for years. Its racing history is un-matched by any other car to date (in my opinion). Now that he car has been brought back to its original configuration its perfect as-is! | |

| (Edit: I just went back and read the rules, Please accept my apologies for posting WAY too many pictures, guess I'm greedy, because I do love ALL these cars, enjoy!) If I could have a Holy Grail in more than one category, these would be top contenders. McLaren 1967 M6 GT Road Car McLaren M8 All Aluminum Big Block Chevrolet Group 7 Unlimited class. Reynolds 390 cylinder block well over 500 C.I.D. This is the view most competitors had of the Bruce & Denny show! Or in the Olympic Category: the ORIGINAL, all-American "low rider"! [30 years before detroit pursued "Longer, Lower, Wider"] 1929 Cord L-29 Enzo's last road car, , , finally perfection! The incomparable 275 GTB-4 And some other assorted beauties. Holden Efijy Concept car 1954 Bently R-Type Continental Coupe The end of the Bill Mitchell era BMW Z8 2002 That doesn't mean I still don't love my own cars. | |

| 69 was the first year for all the A-body GMs to drop the vent windows, yeah? that's one of the tell tale signs of a 69 GTO vs a 68 (the other big one being the front corner markers) let's look at the Buick version: 68 GS 69 GS yep, no vent windows also, I never noticed that diving body line was so prominent until today. that's a great styling point 68 Chevelle 69 Chevelle yep, again, no vent windows. Thanks for pointing that out to me. that will make identifying the model years for GM A bodies a lot more easier for me.

It's my holy grail car because when I was a kid, my dad and all of his friends had Cutlasses of this vintage. They were the most bad ass cars ever. My dad had a '71 and one of his good friends had a powder blue '69 which I liked the best out of them all. I loved the '69 tail lights. This particular Olds is in my favorite color combination. I plan to make my Caprice look like this car. One day I'll have a '69 Cutlass.
