| yeah, was just reading a few magazine articles on swapping into the 10-bolt... the majority of them mention having a professional do it..
I remembered hearing something about setting shims and adjusting gear lash and stuff and it being sort of 'not easy'.
not to mention, I no longer have a press... or any of those fancy tools to install it. | |

| it really is to bad.. i had no idea what to do till i torn into mine with my dad(who knows what hes doin) and it really is a simple set up. biggest part it getting the lash right and lining up the gears.. i watched him do his rearend over in his 53 chevy and drive it to ohio so i think i trust him doin it | |

| Probably like anything else, once you know what to do, its MUCH easier. The pinion gear can go front to back The carrier can go left to right. Getting those 2 positioned properly is the part that bothers me, especially when they say the crush sleeve has to be correct, so crushed, but not to much. Maybe if the rear was on a bench & I had no time limit.....but....nah....thats not gonna happen. _________________ Steve 96BBB 28K 3.42 Bolt-ons 95BBB 100K 3.73 383 New DD...already broke fixt the 4L60E twice 95 Black WB4 Hole...ee...grail 96 Black WB4 No holes in this 95BBB 189K 3.08 Old DD Stolen...by Matt.
