| I can "one up you", but I wish I couldn't. I just went to a Wagon Fest in VA. Had a great time, we stayed a couple of extra days. We went to Shenandoah National Park. I brought a starter, alternator, hoses etc. just in case. But I didn't bring a transmission. I have 2 in the cellar. So the car is 650 miles away, luckily I had a place to park it. Now I have to figure out that mess.

Thanks Steve, I believe those are at the other end of the state. I will probably rent a car carrier, put the big hitch on the wagon and go get it, unless I decide to sell it. That's the plan right now. Tom

taint good. My understanding is the posi additive isn't needed if the fluid is synthetic!?

My understanding is the posi additive isn't needed if the fluid is synthetic!? Not true. You need limited slip additive in any gm limited slip diff. Gear oil choice has nothing to do with it. Sorry about your bad luck with it Glen. Tom, that stinks as well. I hope Steve will be able to help you. |

You can run a synthetic 75-90, but stop by Dover Autoworld or robbins, and pick up a bottle of posi additive for gm cars. I always put the entire bottle of additive in first, then fill with gear oil. Would be a good time to replace axle seals, and don't forget the FEL-PRO diff gasket. |

| Wow Tom, I hope that all works out for you!!!!
I have had a couple people mention not putting in the additive, then put it in when they realized what happened, and it worked itself out?
