| I have the old Hot Rod Magazine with the article about that car. I think it is an 89 or a 90. GM built the car because they wanted to experiment with more cylinders instead of V8s for NVH reasons and power as well, etc. They wanted to get the motor alone but could not, and the only way was to buy a whole car, so GM engineers bought a whole new BMW 7-series and yanked the motor out of it.
This car also wears the 91+ lace alloys, so even though it is an LS Brougham, it must also have the 5x5 bolt pattern. Maybe 9c1 underpinnings added?

That exact photo was a turning point for me liking B-bodies way back when that article came out (I forget when it was, mid-90s?), I thought that car looked sharp with them! | |
