It's not really a bible.

I ordered 'How to Rebuild Small-Block Chevy LT-1/LT-4 Engines' from Amazon and it showed up today.

It looks like it will be an invaluable addition to my Impala-related collection along with my factory service manuals I 'liberated' from Bank's when I worked there.

(I didn't know you need a steering wheel puller to get the crank hub off of the LT-1, that's gay)

I used that book when rebuilding mine, too. Some good info and great pics in there! Smile

Looks like it from just a quick thumb-thru.

Even just having all the torque specs is great but tips and hints during teardown and rebuild makes it all the better.

Although it makes me wish I had my own machine shop.

I keep my copy between the "how to rebuild big-block chevy engines" and "chevy ls1/ls6 V-8's". Then comes "chevy ls1/ls6 performance" and "maximum boost". Someday I may actually use the info from one of them, but probably not.
