Why do so many people in the world not here you guys seem to have respect, but everyone dogs the 4.3l l99. you always get this. " You cant do anything to a 4.3" " its a weak motor" rip it out and out a LS! in it. well frankly STFU about it . i am happy with my l99 and it does run side by side with the 5.7l roasts the tires everywere. And i believe i am officially done with the other forum to many snobs on there with nothing to do but complain about answering questions. If ya dont want to answer a question dont read it it simple. Sorry if i sound like im complaining but it get aggrivating when all you want to do is learn your car inside and out. i have been working on cars since i was a little kid so i sorta know what i am doing and will be ASE certified soon. and i cant belive it I didnt drop a single F bomb today lol

Dont bother. I tried asking it once. I own an LT1 and an L99. The l99 gets way better gas mileage tho Very Happy

That's why a lot of us came over here (and wagon guys went to the long roof forum). There's too much BS at times on the ISSF.
I never drove a 4.3 before, but just picked up my first 305 powered wagon. Going from only having LT1s to a 305 is a big difference, but honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. If your happy with how your car performs that's all that matters.

see someone is with me lol but anyways that 305 belive it or not is a great motor had it in a 89 caprice same issue as 4.3 compared to 5.7 because it aint a 350 or ls1 peoiple think it aint got nothing with right work and care it can perform just as well or better.

Try telling guys that 3.8 V6s are good in a long roof wagon Cool It all comes down to whatever floats your boat.

I like the 4.3, and you can juice it up pretty good. Its not LT1 status, but it will do pretty good.

not trying to be a dick, and not saying you where either.
but its kind of funny how 6 posts after your rant about everybody dissing your small motor, you then turn around and dis a motor smaller then yours and then tell him it needs to go.
he never said gm used HIS v6 in a b body.

and fwiw i would take Dans v6 powered b body over a l99, lt1 or ls powered one.
just my .02

yes it will with the right parts and tune witch i need to do asap it will scream does now lol. i am very happy hell i even beats my buddies97 4.3l taurus sho v8 and its rated with 237 hp and he has cherrybombs on it so prolly another 5 or 10 hp extra. plus its lighter than mine so idk maybe i got a good motor or the cop who owned it before my father had it tuned idk will find out soon tho. i would just like to find out what they did to the vats system light is always on dont have the resistor key but it starts everytime? ah i jkn bout the v6 nothing wrong with it just i think a v8 shoulda been in it but i guess gm tried to save us some gas lol. i just never had any luck with v6's in my life so wont buy one again. how did you get that front end on that caprice i like

Dans car originally came with a v8.
and was replaced with a v6 from another car.

the front end is off a roadmaster sedan.
bolts right up.
