Thewy make motor mounts for G-body's that use a special bracket to drop an LS in with no fabrication. I think Holley makes them or something? I remember seeing them on power block on saturdays but forget the name.

This is to be my next project, decided it about a year ago, since I can't reasonably afford a turbo G-bod, I am going to try to find one without a heart and work some LS magic (The gathering) on it.

ya a reg old Regal (there are still a few nice ones out there !!) would be ideal for a V8 swap. To much small stuff ($$$$$) to go to a V6 Turbo .. Although the V6 Turbo will be quicker an get better gas mileage Buick turbos are very easy to make go.. Mid 11s in street trim with stock junk and a little bigger turbo. Mid 10s street trim would still be easy to do at this point with the new stuff they have out there now

Yup, every once in a while I see a great deal on a clean regal without a motor, one of these times I'm going to grab one and hang onto it. I would like the GN look for cheap money with a power plant that I know. I am quite certain that I could LS power an old regal and have it on the road for far less than I could buy a comparable Turbo one for. Don't get me wrong, I love turbo cars (I daily drive a WRX) but the money they want for the Turbo Regal cars makes them a bit out of my reach. But who knows, Turboing an LS motor is pretty easy according to Al, and I KNOW he would be on board for a turbo V8 regal....

My first car was a POS 83 cutlass with a sbc.









It leaked oil everywhere, the tailpipes and mufflers were rotted and the tires fell apart on me due to their age. Oh yeah, the inner front fenders and floors were gone. It was a fun learning experience driving this car right after getting my license through winter with v8, rwd and no abs.

I changed the oil once and put 2 new mufflers and tailpipes before selling it.

I remember my shop teacher telling us that back in the 80s, the Monte SS wheels kept getting stolen and a ton of them came into the dealership he worked at with dented spare tire wells from thieves dropping the wheel-less cars on the ground!

I want to get an '87 442 as one of my next cars on the bucket list. Or an 87-88 Monte SS with the slightly altered taillights, and of any color as long as the paint is in decent shape and it still has the factory accent stripes on it.

Brian I love how that car looks with or without factory stuff. Definitely a nice cruiser!

The car has a crazy history for it to be/look the way it does now. Thats one of the reasons i bought it. I replaced the junk yard rims/tires it came with, to the AMR 767's and BFG's

I did this on paint shop and its pretty much what I'm stuck on. This picture is with simulated window tint, some decals and lowered suspension. I put factory SS decals on it last summer, but Im not too crazy about it.
Notice the car in the middle, in the left background! It was wrecked about two weeks after...

That's sick! There is a car driving around the North Shore I see once in a great while that is painted up like that, with different wheels.

Ive only seen one in person and it was a car show in South Carolina. But this guy went to the extreme with numbers, sponsors and the goodwrench logos. Good work tho. But his wasnt an Aero Coupe
